Boxing is already in a bad way, Think of the amount of casual fans who tuned in to watch that fight and saw a complete robbery...

Just added to the stigma fans have, especially casual fans that "boxing is going to ****."
Wrong.....thats a small minority when considering as a whole, when talking about boxing is a dying sport and going to "s". Like the moron Floyd and Pac d riders who have no logic or reason, just senseless bashing and "you dont know s about boxing" statements.

Just to completely debunk your theory....the casual fan is the fan who watches maybe once a year at a get together....those people HAVE NO CLUE whats going on inside the ring, and could care less, and will root for the good guy thats a fan favorite.

one of the worst years most definitely. it started well with berto-ortiz, rios-acosta, cotto-mayorga, morales-maidana, then a long stretch of **** with
          vitali-solis ,1st rd. stoppage
          pac-mosley, **** fight
          khan-mccloskey ,domestic bs stoppage
wlad-haye, **** fight that eradicated hayetards
khan-judah, low blow aka judah took a dive
          pw-lara, robbery of the decade
          berto-zaveck, headclash+bs stoppage
          floyd-ortiz, sucker punch
          vitali-adamek, mismatch
hopkins-dawson ,win by a mma move
pac-marquez III ,well not bad i guess but it produced waves of butthurt
          wlad-mormeck, mismatch

then we got kirk-angulo and c/m - good fights, ward-froch and khan-peterson still coming up with some potential.

I wouldn't say it was a bad year, a letdown year? Yes.

I think most of it comes down to expectations. We expected soo much but got little in return hence making it seem worse than it actually was.

Though, thinking about it now, it is the non main event bouts (in most cases) that have helped keep the boxing community' head above water. Fights like Rios-Murray for example.

Bad decisions have increased badly which is resulting in many being put off by the sport (personal experience with friends and people I know).

We've got Khan-Peterson and Ward-Froch coming up and I honestly believe both will be very good fights. Hope being the key word there ofcourse.

I would say it's been a decent but letdown of a year.

              Exactly.

And most get together to see Pacquiao cause of his aggressive entertaining style,
So this time round when they did that, they seen him get the **** beaten out of himself and still getting the win....

              Are you slow?

Get the **** beaten out of him? The fight was so wide that it was a Chavez-Whitaker? Seeing your pics, there's no need to to try and debate with someone who has no logic or reason.

Personally I enjoyed this year. We got questions answered with Pac/Marquez. We learned that Floyd still has it, PWill has lost it, Kirkland is better with Anne. We had the BW tourney, Berto/Ortiz slugfest, Cotto's redemption song, and Canelo learned to box a little. Im looking at it more for the future. Its a lot of good young fighters in Mares, Broner, Russel and Ramos. 2012 is gonna be a great year even with the undesireable things that happened this year. Not to mention we will have a super 6 winner before its done. Ive seen much worse years. Im cool with this year.

What about Alvarado-Prescott? I think it was a good year.

People choose to pay attention to the bad fights and ignore the good ones.

                      Go watch
                      Wolak vs Rodriguez 1
                      Marquez vs Concepcion 1
                      Rios vs Acosta
                      Maidana vs Morales
                      Alvarado vs Presoctt
                      Berto vs Ortiz

                      etc etc etc

and tell me how this was a bad year.

Oh and there are stilll quite a few big fights left
