I hear you on Martinez beating him. I would just feel more comfortable from a style standpoint putting Cotto in there with Sergio than a kid who is big like Chavez who can pressure the hell out of you. Arum's greed is unbelievable at this point in his life!

A PBF/Cotto fight would be a very sad ending for Cotto. Im a huge Cotto fan but I would not wanna see that fight.

Cotto was running from a one eyed margarito. Floyd would win an easy boring decision.

Imagine the left hook landing on Floyd's face, and the stiff jabs, won't be easy for Floyd, not an Ortiz like fight. I would say hardest fight for Floyd since Castillo. Cotto always puts up a fight, never gets beaten without giving back, if you think about it he maybe should be undefeated now, since he lost to Plasterito and Pacroid.

It'll be funny if Floyd does fight Cotto, and than we can hear all the haters who said "Floyd, stop ducking Cotto" come around and say "Floyd cherry picked Cotto". Cotto is past it, still was getting hit by Margarito with one eye. Yes, he won the fight and was winning it, but Antonio was in it.

I'd rather see Cotto switch to Golden Boy and fight Alvarez, Kirkland, etc.

I'll take Floyd by stoppage within 10 rounds. Cotto's face isnt holding up well anymore and if Margarito could hit him Floyd would hit him 3 times more.

If that fight, Cotto-Chavez, is made, I udnerstnad why they'd want to have it in MSG, with the large Pureto Rican population in NYC. But, why not have Cotto go on the road this time to Cowboy Stadium or to Vegas, or somehwere out west with large Mexican populations.

No way Chavez wins in MSG, not a chance.

Mayweather-Cotto doesn't make sense anymore, not since Cotto was KO'd out of his prime by Margarito in 08'. Sure, that win was most likely tainted and illegal, but it doesn't chance the facts of the case....Cotto hasn't been remotely as good since the plaster fight with Antonio, and no one can dispute that.

And if people were actually boxing fans back in 06'-07', Floyd and his camp had been calling out Cotto since 2006, to which Top Rank replied "Cotto isn't ready for Floyd". Than, when Floyd announces that Hatton is his last fight, Cotto and Top Rank say Floyd is ducking. Remember back, because that's how it played out, and the whole world said Floyd was ducking, but Miguel got KO'd by Antonio anyway. So, it's history, can't change it.

But, if Cotto wants to cement his legacy in boxing, he should fight Kirkland, Alvarez, and maybe Chavez Jr to get a title in a 4th division. If Cotto won those fights, and I don't think he'd win them all, but if he did, I'd consider him an ATG.

Floyd doesn't stop Cotto that's for sure he doesn't have the power to do serious damage, he couldn't KO old Mosley or Marquez and KOed Ortiz just because he let his guard down.
                    No way he KOes Cotto.

Look at Bob squirm, this just made my day. Begging for Cotto to resign and offering up a bull**** 4th title, against a bull**** title holder (JCC JR) and giving home field advantage to Miguel. Arum is just trying to build his stable against Cotto's name and it's time for Miguel to move on.
