Margs could have fought all night and got nothing, he was taking an ass-kicking and if anybody was getting stopped, it was him.

lol please, Margarito didn't win a single round. Even before his eye swoll up he was being outclassed and lost every round.

Bottom line, Cotto is just a better fighter, and a better man.

i think margarito won maybe two or three rounds but Cotto outboxed him for most of the fight

I have watched boxing for over 20 years and I have never seen a fight stopped liked that. He was the aggressor in almost every round. He WAS building momentum... one of the judges gave him the 9th round. I understand why it was done the way it was done but lets not pretend... Cotto was winning but I wish the fight went on longer...it looked like it was about to get interesting.

Really you never seen that before? I could give you a few fights of similar fashion.

Margarito is right that Cotto never hurt him. It was bull**** that they had to use pu$$y everlast gloves instead of reyes.

Cotto just doesn't have real power like Pac. Pac wobbled Margarito numerous times and shut both his eyes. After fighting Pac with reyes gloves, the punches cotto were throwing with everlasts didn't hurt him at all, its just that he can't control his swelling especially after surgery after a broken orbital

And the other problem with Margarito this fight was he didn't get off first and his punches were SLOW AS ****. In this first fight he was relentless and throwing good combinations. Pac shot Margarito to **** except for his chin, he still has a ATG chin

Bad stoppage, fighters eyes swell all the time. Margarito was never hurt like he was against Pacquiao and Mosley where he took a serious beating. Cotto landed pretty punches but he wasn't sitting down on them. Margarito's whole face was Fed Up against Pacquiao. Last night he had no marks on his face other than the swollen eye. People are going to say and beleive what they want but Margs was not out off it and taking a beating like against Mosley and Pac and if they let the Pac fight go the distance, this one could have as well because all Magarito had was a swollen eye. He wasn't hurt or breathing hard but that is boxing its all political now days. The Ref didn't want to stop it. Neither did Margarito and his croner so the only thing I can think of was that they were afraid of a law suit and if that was the case they shouldn't have OKed the fight in the first place. Powlak was worse off than Margarito. I fell sorry for the fans that payed to see a Championship fight and were robbed of the Championship rounds. If that is the new standard of stopping fights in New York now (a swollen eye) I will never PPV a N.Y. boxing oe MMA fight again......
