Margarito learned a very important lesson, u dont fight Cotto in front of Puerto Ricans...this isnt the first time the Boricuas have saved him from danger with questionable stoppages... this was a repeat of the first fight except with a damaged eye, its not a coincidence the fight was stopped the same round Cotto showed signs of wearing down, with his mouth wide open. of course he was outboxing Marg and hitting him clean, Marg ALWAYS gets hit cleaned, but he was walking thru his punches not being fazed by Cotto's power, he was applying pressure, and the pipe was getting ready to bust, but thanks to Pacquiao's A.ss whoopen and the Doctors we didnt see it happening.

Bad stoppage, fighters eyes swell all the time. Margarito was never hurt like he was against Pacquiao and Mosley where he took a serious beating. Cotto landed pretty punches but he wasn't sitting down on them. Margarito's whole face was Fed Up against Pacquiao. Last night he had no marks on his face other than the swollen eye. People are going to say and beleive what they want but Margs was not out off it and taking a beating like against Mosley and Pac and if they let the Pac fight go the distance, this one could have as well because all Magarito had was a swollen eye. truth is that Margarito was getting brutalized by Cotto. From round one! Regardless of whether the eye swelled or not, Cotto was seriously outclassing Margarito from the get-go and throughout the fight. He fought differently, he used more angles and pushed Margarito back.

There were several points where Margarito stumbled after Cotto's left hook to the chin/head.

Margarito was up against the ropes several times in the later rounds and had been rocked by several left hooks. This was not a repeat of the first fight at all.
