I didnt like.the stoppage and cotto sure looked like he didnt like it either, like.he was determined to ko margarito in the final rds.
Are you nuts?? Cotto was minutes away of getting KOed, he was lucky they stopped the fight. Margarito was a hero to Mexicans and other fans that night. He fought with one eye, never hugged, chased Cotta all night, and laughed at his punches, was in his backyard, etc. MARGARITO MACHO MAN. COTTA LA PUTA.

I want to see Cotta la puta vs Margarito again without an eye problem or vs Canelo. Cotta would piss on his pants.

How many of you guys actually avenged a defeat? I avenged my first loss as an amateur boxer against this guy in Buffalo, pounded him too. It meant absolutely nothing in boxing history but it was one of my most satisfying moments in my sporting life, easily.

No he wasn't Steward kept saying that he should be digging his punches into Margarito but he wasn't. Stop making **** up!

Revenge?? Half the fans know that Margarito was eventually going to KO Cotto. He was breaking him down and smiling while receiving punches. He simply had an eye problem so they stopped the fight. Cotto didn´t win in the ring, he won by an eye problem. Margarito was going to pummel him in the next rounds. Imagine if he had his eye right. This is why Mexicans appreciate manhood, Margarito preferred to lose his eye but never surrender to Pacman while Cotta la puta got Knocked down three times and gave up. Sorry, Cotto didn´t win in my eyes.

It amazes me how folks who show (thru their posts) know jack -ish about boxing but persist to frequent these types of sites to flaunt their ignorance. I just read a post on here that said Cotto was running like a "chicken"..Really..Really Dude..If he was "running", I doubt very seriously he would've had time to inflict enough punishment to close that eye. This is real life here..Not a rocky movie..This isnt mma where many of those dudes simply go for broke. Hell, it doesnt take much skill to stand toe-to-toe and trade shots until the 1st mofo drops. That isnt skill IMO..You can watch that sort of "warfare" on the street. The objective of BOXING is..And ALWAYS will be to inflict as much hurt on your opponent as you can while receiving as little in return. The major difference between this fight and the 1st one is conditioning. Cotto did a good job of boxing..Sticking & moving in the first bout but even he admitted that halfway thru the fight he started to gas out..Started getting hit more and thus succomb to margarito's constant pressure. Well, the pressure was there this time b/c antonio only fights one way (Taking 2..3 of your best to land 2 or 3 of his own)...I didnt see any "running" last night. I saw cotto fighting a SMART fight..Staying behind his jab..Landing his power shots..Then moving out of harm's way. If you know you shouldnt stand toe to toe with some1 who's whole fight plan is to do just that then why be DUMB enough to fight that man's fight. When you're fighting margarito, there are times when you're gonna have to stand your ground and miguel did just that when it was necessary...But if I can bust a dude up by boxing and moving (not being a stationary target...Against a boxer who has always had trouble against fighters with good hand & foot speed...IE pacquiao & mosley) then why should I relinquish my advantages just b/c it looks good to folks who wanna see guys slug it out for 12 rds (Thats not a sport). In most major sports, you have Offense and Defense..Not just one or the other. Taking punches you dont have to take is ****** when you can formulate a game plan to showcase both aggression and avoidance.

Cotto was never hurt, he was focused, calculating, and determined to expose the difference between a true boxing champion and a dirty cheating punk. Margarito got roughed up, I loved when Cotto would spin him around and even pull his head down, no respect. Love the victory. Cotto looked like the champ he was and Margarito is garbage since he got discovered his skills are whack and he needs to cheat. Doctors saved Margarito from his right eye. He is so blinded in his ******ity he actually thought the docs were protecting Cotto LMFAO... retire Margarito or make my day and let Sergio Martinez exact the same revenge and probably damage you permently!
This fight proves nothing as far as the bandages go. Margarito connected 110 punches less than the first fight. What would've happened if Margarito would've connected those 110 punches more. Chances are cotto would've beg his corner to trow the towel like he did in the first fight. He even admitted on the face off that he would never go to the end if things were going wrong again.

Don't be foolish... stop with the would've connected crap. Margacheato got schooled, it was boxing. And margacheato lost. He lost every round, he was the slower and less skilled of the two that's why he was a 4-1 underdog. Even the experts new, we all were watching to see what cotto had left .... and it proved that cotto has a boxing future and margacheato doesn't
