Please Explain To Me Why MAYWEATHER vs. PACQUIAO Needs "Investors"...

    • Bob Arum did not go outside for Delahoya-Trinidad.
    • Mayweather-Delahoya was done by Golden Boy - not outside "investors"
    • Tyson - Holyfield I and II got done the conventional way.
    • Mayweather - Mosley got done the conventional way
[*} Pacquiao -Marquez III got done the conventional way

Can someone please explain two things:

    1) What makes this fight so fundamentally different in structure and cost* that "outside investors" are required?
    2) If you are convinced that this would be the biggest fight in boxing history, why you would want to split that massive revenue with "outside investors"?

*Keep in mind that 80% of the revenue comes from PPV buys. Whether you have 1 million buys, or 5 million buys, your fixed costs are the same... only your revenues are increased.

    Thanks in advance.

Why would you wan to sell the fight and all the rights to it? Doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to me.

im not really sure if the fight did 3million ppv buys at $70 then thts $210million just from ppv, u would think this fight u break the $18million gate tht de la hoya mayweather did so just from ppv n the gate ur looking at $230million, after tht the money tht businesses would pay to advertise there product (in the mayweather mosley fight the advertised iron man 2) would b worth millions also so this fight could generate $300million.

In other countries like the uk this fight would also b on ppv n would again bring in millions of dollars.

its all a lie and a smokescreen to keep the public thinking the fight is being negotiated and that someones 'ducking'

truth is its obvious theyre willing to say and do anything to steer clear from an embarrassing loss to floyd

Needs investors to pay for all FMJ's drug testing demands, expensive process by all accounts

1.) The fact that [for Arum] it involves someone he hates doing business with.

2.) Maybe Arum likes smoke screens.

So expensive that Mayweather promo and GBP could take care it themselves for the last two fights.

Let go of Mays and GBP sacks please. There is no comparable fight money-wise compared to this match-up. The investors are more than likely for the high purses.
