Arum doesn't want to get involved with Haymon and Ellerbe, if he isn't talking to Haymon or Ellerbe they aren't negotiating with Floyd. This was all in his diatribe about why Schaeffer shouldn't talk, but realistically speaking Floyd would be higher on the pecking order because the fight can go on without Arum involved it can't happen without Floyd~ so Arum is in no place to say anything like who he will and will not deal with in regards to making the fight~.

If he is serious anyways~, he can talk to third parties with bankrolls all he wants doesn't really get to the heart of the matter which is getting both guys to sign to fight

According to Rucker, one condition of making the big fight would be for Pacquiao to drop his defamation lawsuit against Mayweather. Rucker said that was discussed.

"Floyd was very friendly to Koncz, he showed him some Southern hospitality in that meeting. They spoke while Floyd was wearing his trunks and gloves but he was extremely friendly to Koncz and a guy named Cesar, a Filipino guy who came to the gym with Koncz.

Schaffer (again, who works in business with Mayweather during his fights) reached out to Arum through the mediator (a judge) and Arum said that he was not interested and that he was pursuing a fourth fight with Manny and Marquez. Then Arum had the nerve to say that he wasn't going to sit and talk with the people needed to make the fight. You do the math.

Obviously the only reason it would be dropped would be in exchange for Floyd signing on the dotted line to fight.
