I quite agree, except I don't think that the other promoters would do exactly the same thing. At very least, they's wait until their fighter was absolutely destitute and willing to mortgage his life away for the backing. Like Mayweather did before he made that fight with Corrales. And I don't think any of them them have the degree of loyalty in adversity that Arum has. Di Bella maybe but not the others.

I think Tito had a more impressive and dominate career than Cotto.

I don't think anyone would ever be able to replace Trinidad's place in the feelings of Puero Rico's people. Even a much better fighter It's a matter of reaching out, and being a part of the whole people. Whenever Trinidad fought, they all knew he was doeing it for them, whether he was or not. They would overwhelm him when he arrived home, with triumphal parades even when he lost.
