as opposed to a guy that made his name by losing to an out of shape lackadaisical lewis?

oh yeah, he beat john ruiz's son kirk johnson (calling kirk 'fat' that night is an understatement), corrie sanders (whom that bum rahman beat when corrie was younger, fresher, and in better shape), and danny williams. oh yeah, and herbie hide.

the thing is,,,he didnt just beat them. he destroyed them with ease. that includes larry donald whom he knocked out. thats the only time donald has ever been stopped. lewis wasnt backing straight up with his hands by his side as he did with rahman or he would have ended up in a coma

could have, should have, would have.

brittley had a lewis who was 2 years older than he was in africa, hadn't fought in a year, not in good shape, and lewis still won.

brittley can punch but he's hardly a guy who "puts guys into comas". he hit golf sanders with everything in the book but couldn't drop him. sanders chin is not glass but not exactly granite either.

nate tubbs gave sanders a ten count with 1 shot.

We all know fightas retire when they time is up and that time is usually obvious WHEN they get a beating from somebody. Hurrr's a list of fightas that retired due to a terrible loss.

Tito Trinidad retired when B-Hop Knocked him out.

Tito Trinidad retired once again when Winky Wright gave him a boxing lesson on LEARN DEFENSE 101.

John Ruiz decided to call it quits afta James Toney bitchslapped his belly into a glowing red

Ricardo Mayorga retired afta Tito Trinidad destroyed him.

Marquez found out he don't belong anymo when Jermain Tayler made him look silly.

Paulie Ayala hung them up when Barrera stopped his silly ass in 10 rounds havin in mind he would have faced Pac, and GTFO had he won.

Jesse james Leija retired afta Gatti bombed his silly head when they fought

Nasseem Hamed gave up boxing when Barrera humiliated him in Mexico. He decided he can only fight cheeseburgers nowadays.

Mike Tyson retires afta a loss to McBride

Point is, Vitali retired fo a chicken reason. He's afraid of Rahman. I know that gettin KTFO in sparring sessions decreased his confidence aswell. Vitali dint even get a beating to realize that he doesn't belong wit ta elites in ta heavyweight. Vitali will be rememba as ta guy that feared Hasim Rahman and showed it by gettin injuries 4 consecutive times in 1 year span. Too much ducking. Vitali retires as a coward.
He also retires with the highest KO percentage of any heavyweight champion EVER.
