You should have mentioned "2,400,000. Thanks to Oscar. Just sayin...."

Before Oscar, Floyd could not even break into the 400's.

Well using ******* logic, since it's been about 3 weeks from the fight the number has to be fluctuated by about 650,000. Again this is ******* logic not mine. So the actually amount is probably around ooooh let's say 750,000. Again this is using ******* logic.

This is why I never believe anything from Bob Arum's mouth, Top Rank or his side of the world, he's a liar, he's admitted to being a liar and yet many gullible "fans" swallow his tripe like its filet mignon. Manny's live gate always does pretty good but his PPV sales have always lagged behind Mayweather, a fact that must drive him insane.

              Money Pacquiao does it again

On top of the buy rate, he also had the 9th biggest gate in Nevada History and the fight was the most watched in Mexico's history (more than 1/3 of the country tuned in, that's the same ratio as the superbowl in the U.S.). The fight was a MONSTER financial success, no matter what angle you look at it from.

I predicted it would do 1.3-1.5 mil buys, and as always, ThePrince was right. Also predicted there would be a lot of butthurt, and as you can see from some in this thread...

100 million points to anyone with photoshop skills who can put Manny's head on Simba and add the title 'The PPV King' on this pic:

Until today we haven't heard anything from HBO regarding PPV household buys for the recent Mayweather/Ortiz fight. Now it is very clear that the promoter of the Mayweather/Ortiz fight did give HBO the consent to release to the public the PPV sold for the said fight. There is only one reason why the promoter will keep things like that away from the public, PPV sold was way too low and too embarrassing to be published. It was a very clear victory for the boxing aficionados because they showed chicken Floyd that they are not buying anymore Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight if is not against the Great Manny Pacquiao. Everybody now knows the posturing of the chicken, all the excuses he threw in just to prevent the fight to happen. You don't have to be a genius to see all the roadblocks thrown by the Mayweather camp and GBP. Let us keep praying that this time chicken Floyd will sign the contract...no more posturing, no more pretending, no more alibis, no more roadblocks, no more finger pointing, no more false accusations and no more lies...just sign the contract. Do it for the fans and satisfy the public demand. Amen.
                    Amen to that.

Sure it was because of Oscar, even though Oscar never did numbers anywhere near as good before he fought Floyd.
