I stopped reading after I saw Manny @ #1. Lost all credibility with me. He has looked ineffective in his last 2 fights.... wild and confused. He got spanked by JMM. Yet somehow, this website sees the inclusion of those turd performances in his "body of work" to deserve to stay at #1? lolComment

That list is a joke.
Manny #1 is laughable.
NOnito at #4 is just wrong.
Froch above Ward is a bad joke.
Kneeguel in the "could be" list is just funny.
Khan in the "future" list is ridiculous.Comment

As I pointed out, Cliff thought Haye was good enough to beat Wlad. Wlad's opponents look bad against him because he makes them look bad. Peter was the betting favourite to win their first fight. Chagaev and Chambers would have been top 10 Heavyweights in almost any era. And longevity counts for a lot even in a weak division, especially when accompanied by such total dominance. Hatton got into the P4P lists when his division was weak, yet he didn't really dominate anyone the way Wlad has done, not even the weakest of his opponents. Holmes dominated a weak division for many years but was not nearly as dominating as Wlad has been post-Peter I; and very few of Holmes' opponents were better than Wlad's - but Holmes is now regarded as an ATG.
That was a very close fight, which could have been scored either way, and it was a split decision. It was a little controversial but was a long way from being a robbery. And Martinez is a lot better than Macklin, or so he and his fans would like us to believe. If he wants to continue to be considered to be the Middleweight champion Martinez has every reason to prove it by beating the universally ranked #2 fighter in his division. That's what all real champions do.
In any case, the US is just as well known for its robberies as Germany is, and Sturm was the recipient of one of the most notorious of those, when he fought De La Hoya.Last edited by Dave Rado; 12-02-2011, 10:33 PM.Comment

Dominating or not, Hatton's win against Kostya Tszyu alone is worth more than all the victories on Wlad's record put together.
Well, you can now add the "draw" against Martin Murray to the list of controversial decisions in Germany. Sergio has no need to go over there so that the same thing can happen to him.
Especially since he has gotten to where he is by taking risks all throughout his career. While Sturm has gotten to where he is by seemingly taking as few risks as possible.Last edited by ShoulderRoll; 12-03-2011, 06:46 PM.Comment
