I think Lara has more skill, but the Canelo would probably be 15 pounds bigger. That might be the difference. Still have Lara though.

he won pretty much every round against pwill and he would beat molina in a rematch. alvarez/lara should be easy to make since both are gbp fighters but it won't happen cause they know lara's experience would beat alvarez. i say make alvarez/martirosyan or alvarez/kirkland. if not, alvarez/chavez jr. for lara, make lara/trout or lara/anyone at 154 or 160.

he can be a small middleweight, like 156-158. he called out pirog when pirog's people offered martinez a fight in russia. he himself said he's willing to do it. check out the article boxingscene posted earlier today where they interviewed him. he said he wants to fight martinez, i'm sure martinez' people would say the fight would take place at middleweight. no problems with height since he fought pwill and he's taller than most big-named middleweights. i'm sure lara can fight at middleweight with ease.

I think if Canelo wants mayweather, he should fight someone who is a good defensive fighter, has good speed and is a great counter puncher. Canelo hasn't faced anyone like that on a pro level so how the hell could he be prepared for Floyd? Answer is he's not.

I think that would be the best fight for him to prepare for floyd. Lara is also golden boy so it's an easy fight to make. The obvious problem though is I doubt golden boy would take that kind of risk, especially after the beating lara dished out on paul williams, and honestly, lara would most likely beat him.
