I want proof Margarito used plaster against Cotto.

And Cotto to his his credit took a lot of shots in the last few rounds... The guy simply lost all stamina and gassed out against a cheater with plaster wraps after fighting all night with a busted nose and drinking his own blood, something Vasquez chose not to do when he quit against Marquez for the same injury. You still wanna pretend Margarito was 100% clean in the Cotto fight huh?
At the time of the stoppage he was not touched, therefore he clearly took the decision of quitting. This is independent of punishment, since you are a boxer and are going to get hit.
And again if you actually read my previous post, I said I condoned what Margarito did.Comment

You are going off topic, now you justifying why he took a knee rather than argue against if he quit or not.

Noboy is off topic, I am saying to you that quitting on your stool is worse than quitting in the middle of the round. Cotto was beyond fatigued and he simply could not keep his hands up. Are you conveniently ignoring the punches Cotto took seconds before taking a knee? How do you know Cotto's intention wasn't to get 8 seconds and try to survive the round? His corner threw in the towel. By Cotto taking a knee, does not mean his intention was to quit... Maybe he was thinking I need some air and to try to last this round...
You are making up arguments that don't really apply... Bottom line is mexicans quit... Quitting on the stool is REALLY "independent of punishment" as you put it when talking about Cotto who was actually not on his stool and TAKING punishment. Did you see the fight?
I think you think you are making more sense than you actually are.Last edited by LaMigra; 11-26-2011, 03:51 AM.Comment

I see it this way, why on earth would you not use loaded gloves against a primed undefeated champ in Cotto but decide to go ahead and load your gloves against an old ass Shane Mosley after the fact that you just kicked Cotto's azz? Margarito should have felt like he could beat Shane EZ after what he did to Cotto, so why even try to load the gloves against Shane? Makes zero sense.Comment

when we think of logic it has a lot to do with established facts and we argue our perspective on those points..... However, logic can also tie in with common sense......for instance, if someone told you to be logical, or reasonable, about a situation then what they're referring to would be that you should use your common senseComment

You may think you are Rican but you are not, since you were not born on the island.
Ortiz was born and lived in the USA all of his life that makes him American, and he was raised by American foster parents.
DeLaHoya was born and lived in the USA all of his life that makes him American.
You say you wan't to deal with facts, well let's deal with facts.
If you go by "blood" there is no such thing as Mexican blood since we are but a mixture of different races, and Mexican is not a race.
What makes a Mexican a Mexican is the mentality.
Such mentality can only be learned by being immersed deep in their culture and not a hybrid thereof.Comment
