He didn't do a one year suspension for "cheating" . It was painly stated by the commission that they found that he knew NOTHING about the used pad, and was being penalised purely because "you are the head of the team".

There areally ARE some people who don't see what's plainly written in front of their eyes.

Margarito should have felt like he could beat Shane EZ after what he did to Cotto, so why even try to load the gloves against Shane? Makes zero sense.
Well, just a thought, he might have wanted to be the first to KO Mosley. But as I have copiously replied on various threads, I don't believe that margarito had loaded wraps, and in fact the Commission found him NOT GUILTY of knowing anything about what they DID find, just a used, slightly sweat stiffened, gauze pad. It was supposed to be new, so therefore was a technical infraction. If it were not for the fuss Sherlock "Towel Flapper" Richardson made, it would have been passed over with maybe a $1000, fine. But he wanted to upset Margarito, who by his record, wass going to beat up Mosley. He'd been successful in doing this to Felix trinidad whom he "caught" using more gauze than the regulation said. This applied in only the one State, new York, where the fight was held. It was legal everywhere else.

initially, his camp admitted that they were reusing old wraps... then Capetillo recently he said that he didn't know what he was using... that the wraps were there when he got into the locker room.

When have you ever heard of a fighter re-using handwraps?? a Millionare boxer, reusing wraps? really? Come on. They've used it before by Capetillo's own admission. The question is when did they use them?? in sparring or in other fights? Oh, and interestingly enough, the substance had a pink stain just like what was seen in the photo of Margarito's handwraps after the Cotto fight.

Whether he used them against Cotto or not is all speculation. However, you must consider that any fighter that would use Plaster of Paris is a fighter that is willing to use ANY advantage to win a fight. In a sport like boxing, this cannot and should not be tolerated. Margarito should have been banned from boxng for life.

The lab found that traces of a chemical used to make plaster of Paris were smeared on the wraps. It was not illegal technique - It was illegal material.

            Where have you been?

I thought this was common knowledge.

I was beginning to think I was back in the twilight zone.

Hi guys, I'm Judge Genius. Before I make my decision on the case of "Who's Plaster Was It", let's review the facts.

Exhibit A: Plasterito found with dirty draws, socks, and wraps. The court doesn't care much about the first two, but the wraps raise a bit of concern. Unless Team Mosley is carrying plaster in their back pocket, why in the world would plasterito have plaster all over the place? Hmmmmm

Exhibit B: How many times has Team Burrito changed it's story? One minute, it's "Oh I didn't know I was putting POP on his gloves". Then it's, "Oh I didn't know he was loading my gloves". Then it's, "Oh, I didn't know I grabbed the stinkyest, smellyist wraps for the biggest fight of his career off the table".

Judge Genius: DEFENSE COUNSIL... I've heard enough. Just stop. Stop right there. I'll take a 30 second intermission before I make my decision.

Judge Genius: After reviewing all the facts of Exhibit A and B, the court unanimously decides that Tony Burrito is GUILTY.... GUILTY.... His sentence will be a beating at the hands of Cotto on Dec. 3rd.... What's the saying "EYE for an EYE".......

                  Court adjourned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow this is just moronic if any, Cotto admitted that the stain on the wrap was Dye from the inside of the glove that happens I have told the ****ing ******s on ESB this **** for ages and yet they all swore it was blood.

it just goes to show how ****ing closed minded you people are and how all knowing you really think you are, the crack on Margaritos gauze that was solved its a ****ing sharpie but again people are saying its a black thread....

The man didnt cheat with Cotto you look at how many hard shots he landed to the face and body of miguel and what your going to find is that if his gloves were loaded he would have swollen up a hell of a lot more with also having a few broken ribs.

Tony didnt cheat against Cotto, Cotto quit and his supporters need to some how explain that and this is the best way to do so its the easiest and most acceptable way to explain why you quit

There is no proof, there is no evidence. Why? Because unlike Mosley's team, Cotto's team didn't do their job. Ignorance is no excuse, if everyone does their job things like that don't happen, that's why the rules are put in place, and that's why the very same rules kept Marg from cheating against Mosley.

If, and it's a big if, Marg did cheat against Cotto, it's Cotto's own team who should take the blame for not being on top of things.
