No, he is not a bum, but he did get badly exposed.

Pacquiao has been absurdly hyped by some masterful work from his promotional team, and then blown into superstar status by a combination of the fawning media, a truly inspirational life-story, and a massive largely-uninformed fanbase.

He was expected to blow through a faded 38yo career-featherweight who is known to have struggled above 140. Instead he got out-boxed, and the same flaws that were evident in 2008 at SFW, were once again evident for the world to see. But this time those flaws were exposed by a guy who was expected to be too old and physically outmatched.

Manny has not significantly progressed, he is bigger, stronger, faster, more resilient, and has better stamina..... that is all.

It became much more obvious, even to casual fans, that the guys like Diaz, Hatton, Clottey, Margarito, and even the shrink-wrapped Hoya and the "faded, more puncher than boxer" Cotto, were tailor-made for Pac at that point in time.

In short, the world is starting to smarten up and listen to what guys like Atlas have been saying for well over a year now..... that Pac is a manufactured fighter with a dressed resume'.

That does not mean that he is a bum, Manny is clearly a terrific fighter.

The thing is, for two reasons, nobody really knows how good Pac is, or how good he could have been.

The only thing semi cute about this is I think their all in on it. Ariza and Roach are playing the role of acting like they want the fight so badly while Arum and ****z :-) are playing the role of the snakes that dont give a damn and are only after money. Manny is being his normal role (the ****** ass), all this to avoid this fight from happening while making it look like they really want it. I dont believe these guys a ****** enough to go against Arum. This is a diversion people, dont buy it!!!!!!! We all know that Arum will get his way in the end. Floyd Mayweather is not in their plans and never has been.

Ain't no role playing going on bruh. Sounds like Alex Ariza is fed up with Arum and Koncz playing Manny. Anyone who has been following team Pac through this whole ordeal with Mayweather and the fight in general pretty much knew this was coming.

Every story they get coming out of the Pac camp has to have a link to Mayweather in some way. And always pushing the agenda favourably towards Floyd. They did reality episodes with the guy FFS (which I'm still trying to forget, those I watched before I stopped). And they know how much of a crybaby he is if he doesn't get his nutsack stroked constantly. They are ridiculously biased for Floyd.

That's fine for them, I'm sure it's a good hook up. But please don't pretend that the accusations of bias are an invention of *******s minds.

Have they done an article with negative connotations about Floyd in the last few years? Unless you think they have nothing negative to write/report, and everything is peachy in the Mayweather world.

I hear you but it is already a known fact that Arum got Pac to fire vision quest and has been using Koncz (Pac's adviser) to do his dirty work. Also, Pac is the same guy that had a deal with Top Rank on paper and then went to Golden Boy for a suitcase full of money so that alone shows he is not too bright because only a moron would put himself out like that. Pac seems like the type of dude that is satisfied with getting some cash and not too enthused with handling the business aspect of it or keeping track on where his money is going. Remember when some lady was writing and cashing checks under Pac's name in LA? Alex Ariza ain't lying. Bob Arum has been the Barzini of this whole situation since day one.

You dont know what you are talking about.. Pac fired visionquest because the company was asking for Special Power Attorney that would give them access Pac's businesses which he didnt want...Really??

Bob Arumīs gotta go. I thought it was really interesting to see that at the beginning of the week Koncz says Manny is going to wait until after Christmas to announce his plans, and one or two days later Manny holds a press conference saying he wants to target Mayweather. I gotta say: props to Manny for basically exposing Koncz ( and Arum ) as the b*tches they are.

Hold on, Pac announced his Mayweather plans AFTER Top Rank and Koncz announced that they would not be considering Manny's future opponent.

It looked like Manny was lying to the Filipino media.

The Clottey fight to me was the best proof of how they operate. What a horrible, boring fight, just like the Mosley fight btw. But it made them a ton of money, thatīs whatīs most important to them, nevermind the ****tiness of the fights, right?... Finally Manny seems to be standing up for himself and putting his foot down. Letīs just hope this fight is FINALLY made, letīs hope Arumīs greed doesnīt ruin everything once and for all. Arum and Koncz are NOT team Pacquiao!!!

Say they sit down and try to make May/Pac. Why is everyone assuming Floyd isn't going to demand a much bigger cut of revenues? Floyd will ask for 60%. Manny going to agree to that?

I don't think this is as easy as people are making it out to be. Also, neither FM nor MP need each other to make money.

I came in here to post something similar. I'm more of a May fan but I can still appreciate Pacquiao. I realize nobody is perfect, but Manny in general seems like a well meaning person. Arum should be ashamed of himself for what they are doing to him. It sucks that he apparently doesn't have the courage to stand up to him. He hired visionqwest in the first place so he knows that all his money isn't aaccounted for. Bob Arum is a genuine piece of ****.

That is a MASSIVE assumption to make about a guy who chose to be a professional fighter for a living.

There is a reason why Bob is the boss, and appears to have full control over Manny..... I wish I knew what that reason was.
