Either way, he won as I believe he should have.
That fight was anti-climaxing since it didn't live up to the hype...But, scoring wise, I don't see the robbery that a lot of people like to claim it as..

Trinidad wanted a bigger purse than ODLH dats why Bob Arum rejected it, same case with Mosley demanding bigger purse and dats a no, ODLH is the biggest star dat time.

Oscar knew a rematch would only lead to him being knocked out which is exactly why we never got this rematch...

Note that when Trinidad fought Hopkins his illegal wraps were exposed by ****m Richardson
A bit misleading don't you think, its just the way they were wrapped which was not accepted where the fight was staged. Nothing in there that shouldn't have been.

I was happy Trinidad won and I felt Oscar's running act in the last part of the fight was ridiculous, and he deserved to lose with that nonsense.

            But, I felt Trinidad lost.

But the whole Oscar won the first 6 rounds clearly are either biased or didn't watch the fight.

I've seen this fight many times throughout the years and I still finish with a 114-114 scorecard. Round by round, it was that close.

I sat down a while back and tried to score the fight. I disregarded the first 2 rounds as I felt they could have gone either way. After I tallied up the remaining 10 rounds I had it scored a draw. Could've gone either way. You can tell somewhere in the 9th round if i remember correctly Delahoya started gassing and running while Tito started landing bigger and bigger punches while chasing Delahoya around the ring.

My opinion is it was a close fight that could've gone either way, but I think Delahoya knew and knows that Tito very well could have knocked him out if he didn't start running around the ring instead of applying the pressure and beating Tito to the punch like he was early to middle of the fight.

I agree, close fight I had it a D and certainly if DLH didn't take a few rounds off he could have won if he did what he did for most of the fight but yes also risked getting ko'd by Tito if he opened up more.

The fight get's blown way out of proportion because of Oscar's circus act and the hype beforehand, turn the commentary off and the fight is evens imo, think I had Oscar up 3 going into the 9th, haven't watched the fight in a while though, might do again just for sake of scoring.

Agreed... fight was very close and could have easily been a draw. The fact that Tito pressed the action in the later rounds won the judges over. A lot of Oscar's flashy looking shots where blocked if you watch the fight closely without fishnets.

And it is true that Tito pursued BOTH Oscar and Hopkins for rematches. Not saying he would have won against Bernard and his headbutts, but Tito had the courage to do it again.
