Floyd has never underestimate his opponents punching power. He knows Manny is a hard puncher, hence the reason why he asked him to be tested. And yes, Floyd would land more on Manny if he throw 436 punches[36 per round] like JMM threw against Manny. I don't need to justify anything, Aside from Mosley and Ortiz, every opponents Floyd that fought has thrown more punches than him. Marquez is not more accurate than Floyd period. Just because you can throw 100+ more total punches than your opponent; it doesn't mean that you'll end up landing more than him.

that is why i think pac beats him even if he boxes if he does'nt maximize his offensive workrate.....floyd output vs baldomir was 20 punches per round on average, so thinking he would have a low workrate vs pac is not really farfetched, he has a huge tendency to be overly defensive....actaully i think floyd would'nt be as accurate vs pac than jmm did (thats if floyd thows the same punches than jmm did)..the only rreason he might be more accurate is because he would throw less.....for one like i said , jmm was succesful when pac was throwing , not when he was defending...i think , once pac thows vs floyd , floyd would try to get way out of range asap...then pick his shots from the outside, that was not what jmm did....

Without a question Floyd is one of the most accurate punchers in boxing. I just dont see him being ****** enough to go on the offense on Pac. He will sit in the cut and wait to exploit mistakes made by Pac. Now if Pac is punching and Floyd is just countering with 1 and done punches, even if he's more accurate than Pac, he will need to up his punch output in order to win rounds.

JMM is smaller, slower, & more predictable with his counter punching. he also doesn't have NEAR the speed or reflexes as floyd with his counters. in realty this is a MISMATCH & manny would get stopped on his stool. (you actually have JMM MIXED UP WITH FLOYD) jmm is the one that will wait & wait & then counter manny.....floyd is more of a PICKER. floyd picks at you & then he strikes. floyd will pick at your body with jabs. floyd will pick at your face will jabs.....floyd picks at you & mixes it up with quick counters. it's not the same kind of waiting & then striking like we saw with JMM.............this is more of a jmm style on steroids.......

If the fight ever happens i think people are going off Marquezs performance too much to say Floyd will spank Pacquiao. The fight will be close i think Pac will test Floyds chin like nobody ever has. Marquez knows pacquiao very well that plays a good role in why he looked so good against him. Mayweather has never fought someone with the speed of Pac nor the power. What do you guys think. pac is shorter then JMM, pac is MUCH smaller then ortiz.......mayweather would control him in the center of the ring with jabs to the body & head. pac will get discouraged & the look of defeat will be on his face. he'll look scared to jump in with his shots....mayweather waiting to counter you is a MYTH. mayweather is like the guy with little box knife........he PICKS at your head & body.....picks at it & then he starts slashing with sharp deep cuts. this is why even a tko is possible in floyds favor....it's the styles.

I think you're reaching just by using the Baldomir fight. Baldomir is a non-stop pressure Boxer, Manny isn't that type of Boxer. Floyd averaged 38 punches thrown per round in that fight[458 total], 22 more punches than JMM threw against Manny. I guess we'll just have to disagree then.

Well i just call it like i see it. Just becuase floyd beat an overweight JMM . people think it will be a walk in the park for floyd when he fights pacman. Just becuase both JMM and Floyd are both counter punchers they still having completly different styles.

So now Mayweather beat an overweight Marquez , Pacquiao couldnt even beat a 38 YEAR OLD MARQUEZ , everybody and the media lost respect for him because of that .

Seriously that "OH Floyd has never fought someone with the speed and power like Pac", dude is this seriously the crux of your argument? Are you forgetting that Pac has never fought someone like Floyd too? lol @ saying 'oh what about the angles!' any decent footwork would neutralize that - Marquez proved it his feints were perfect.

Of course these angles would destroy you if you're a walking punching bag who comes forward. JMM's intelligence a lone prevailed against Pac's speed and power in arguably 3 fights.
