  • Mayweather vs Pacquiao might be closer than you think

If the fight ever happens i think people are going off Marquezs performance too much to say Floyd will spank Pacquiao. The fight will be close i think Pac will test Floyds chin like nobody ever has. Marquez knows pacquiao very well that plays a good role in why he looked so good against him. Mayweather has never fought someone with the speed of Pac nor the power. What do you guys think. Sorry if there's already a thread like this.

disagree. did marquez kno pac in his first fight with him? he got put on his ass how many times and manny couldnt figure him out??? and then he figured manny out immediately after? u guys problem is u think the **** manny does is overly complex. it isnt. he has rhythm but its very easy to figure out for guys like floyd and jmm. if u think it'll take floyd more than 3 rounds to "know" pac, i really think the world is in for a huge disappointment.

          Disagree

Marquez showed good defense in the 3rd fight

Floyd shows godly defense in every fight

the most shocking thing will be Floyd stopping pacman

agreed...thb, i can see floyd winning but only by decison...that's if he boxes and make it a very boring fight....if he does that, he needs to work on his punch output tho coz pac would beat him in activity alone if he does'nt....if floyd stands in front of pac, he aint going to see the 12th round....

It doesn't matter how fast Pacquiao is because he cannot cut the ring off and Mayweather has longer arms than him. I hope this fight occurs so that I can be vindicated yet again.

Mayweather's chin will only get tested if he tries to humiliate Pacquiao close quarter.

What people have to realize is, Floyd is nowhere as offensive as JMM. JMM took many chances in order to land the shots he landed on Pac. Is Floyd willing to take that chance? JMM sacrificed defense in order to get his offense off. Floyd will NEVER make that sacrifice! Yes Floyd is the best counter puncher in the game, but he will need to actually fight! He's not going to get away with throwing 1 right hand lead at a time. Pac will win rounds on workrate alone. Throwing 15-20punches a round is not gonna cut it. When JMM countered Pac, he countered him with 2-3-4 punch combos. When is the last time we've seen Floyd do that.

Now this is not to say that Floyd wont have success against Pac. All I'm saying is, dont use Pac's performance against JMM as a measuring stick against Floyd. Floyd and JMM although both very technical, are also very different!

waching mayweather on his woman hating, woman beating, trophy whore collecting, 50 cent ****sexual bromancing, exaggeratiing, fake ass is worth any amount of money

                  bottom line

if pacquiao beats floyd he's greater than ali

Marquez was a lot more economical this time around though, probably why he didn't get knocked down this time
