Robbed against Sturm, who was consider the next top middleweight after Martinez. What did Martinez do to deserve Pavlik? He was robbed against Cintron and possibly Williams. Who cares what it says on paper?

Last time I checked Macklin was ranked #3 and Pirog #7 on ring magazine, which what casual fans pay attention to. The #1 guy, Sturm, is ducking Martinez. The #2 guy, Gaele, was offered 1 million dollars, but he turned it down. And now Macklin is the next guy on the list at #3.

Macklin could probably make a decent fight out of it but Sergio stops him. Hope floyd can ateo up to the plate.

I don't have a problem with this fight. Macklin deserves another big fight after traveling to Germany and getting robbed against Sturm.

yeah, none of those 3 are going to step up to face him this march. wish floyd would, but don't see that happening....martinez should be able to stop him, so if he does and doesn't get too busted up doing it, i'd love to see fight more than once after it for 2012. i hate the idea of fighters only fighting 2x a year, especially martinez, he ain't getting any younger and should get his name out more while he can...

Yeah, I wish he'd fight more often too, but I doubt HBO can afford to pay him 3-4 times a year. He makes like $3million a fight

Getting robbed by Sturm is no great feat, happened to Gevor and Randy Griffin . That alone shouldn't make anyone no 3. What else is on Macklin's resume, a tough dec over Yori Boy Campas? And what's Sturm's best win, Sylvester or Castillejo? Sturm's ranking is due to attrition and soft matchmaking, and Macklin was supposed to be no exception.

This is not a bad fight...St Patrick Day against Macklin, I can stomach this if and only if Dibella and HBO are smart enough to actually build an opponent for Martinez.

Put Lee on the undercard against the winner of Pirog-Geale.

Lee and Macklin on St Paddy day in New York will bring fans that you can showcase Martinez to and on the same time build a legit future opponent on the undercard.

Macklin was robbed against Sturm and is rightfully a world champ and a world-class Middleweight. This is a good fight and anybody who tries to discredit Macklin is ******.

Sergio is slowly cleaning out the division. I would like to see him fight Sturm at some point though, and end the hype job JCC Jr bullsh/t run as a "title" holder.
