Macklin is not a bad boxer, he isn't the best but he's among the best MWs and IMO he beat Sturm in his last fight. Also Macklin is a very entertaining boxer and would make an entertaining fight with Martinez since both guys like to show off and attack a lot.

He's certainly a lot better than Manfredo, but hey the champ gets to fight bums and Martinez can't? Lara had a broken bone in his face during his last fight with Williams so he wasn't available and IDK why a lot of people keep mentioning Pirog, I mean I like the guy but his only good win was against Daniel Jacobs who wasn't as good as everyone was saying. Maybe he should have fought Pirog of course, but I think a fight with Macklin would be a lot more entertaining.

I like the Andre Ward idea. I have been saying something like that for a while now. I think he should fight Bute and the winner of that fight should fight the winner of the Froch vs Ward fight.

Honestly, most of you on boxingscene be sounding like B!tches "Why don't Sergio pick on somebody his own size". Dudes sound like ******. While I would prefer for Sergio to stay at JMW or MW, you can't really fault him for trying to make a fight with Pac or Floyd because both them dudes won titles at 154 (Pac 150) but you know what I mean. Nobody was screaming that De La Hoya should pick on somebody his own size when Floyd fought him or when Pac fought Margarito. I swear man. Boxing fans have become girls over the years. Sergio Martinez is a way better caliber fighter than Dimitry Pirog by far. Would I love for him to KO Pirog..... sure! but not calling him a ducker for not fighting him because basically Martinez already fought better opposition than him. Wow, Pirog KO'd Jacobs and what has he done after? Sergio Martinez is just letting his handlers run the business but he should just keep fighting and impressing and am sure he won't need Floyd or Pac. Dude beat Manny out of 2010 FOTY and ain't even as popular as Manny. Dude had the right attitude to become a top seller but once he got a lil shine his promoter and advisor got too open off of the work they put in without finishing their assignment which was to make Sergio Martinez into a houshold names. There are plenty of fighters at 154/160 he can fight and make some big buzzes with.
