    I want to see this.

This is the fight that should have been made first anyways, we probably would have gotten a much more entertaining fight then Wlad/Haye.

Haye shouldn't be taken seriously anymore... he wasn't in it to win vs Wald, and just wants another payday vs Vitali.

It wouldn't let me quote this part.

I don't know if his toe was really hurt. HOWEVER, if he shot it up with the same numbing agents NFL players used, then I can't imagine it would be a problem. But thing is nobody knows for sure. Also, against Valuev, it made sense, sort of. I mean Valuev's only chance against good competition is for him to tire his opponents out by roughing up/leaning on them with all his weight.

I support this fight merely because I want to see Haye get knocked the **** out.

When you think about it Haye was also all hype at cruiserweight. After all his best win against a in his prime fighter was against Enzo Macc. And Enzo, the poor fellow, can't even go out on a windy day without headgear on. Because without the headgear a gust of wind might even knock him out.

Fair enough. I just don't see him being competitive and don't think the fight should be made without him at least working his way back into contention. Just my opinion.

man i USED to like Haye he's good for the division but they need to stop wit that broken toe bs. ive seen nfl players carears ended over that same injury. if it was broke he wouldnt be walking let alone running around that ring.they both fought timid to me but older bra will be in there tryin to take he's head off.that being said ill still be rooting for Haye

What excellent Cruiserweight career was that exactly? The one in which he only fought one world class fighter who was past his prime at the time, defended only once against a lousy alphabet belt holder, and then left the division? He won a lineal title but he didn't stay around to defend it against the top contenders. Longevity at the top matters as much as getting to the top and he didn't have a single meaningful defence. Nor was the standard of his opposition on the way up anything to write home about. He won't be remembered as any more than a footnote in Cruiserweight history.

There are few or no opponents for Vitali that would be significantly more competitive so from Vitali's point of view, why not? At least there would be some buzz generated in Germany and Britain, whereas most of his potential opponents would generate no buzz at all. Plus his other potential opponents would still be around for Vitali to fight afterwards, whereas in the case of Haye, if he doesn't fight him now the fight is highly unlikely to happen ever. And much as Haye should fight his way back into contention, the fact is he has no interest in doing that. That's just the way it is, like it or lump it.

Plus it's personal - Vitali genuinely wants to knock Haye out and punish him for his trash talking and the T-shirt. And that genuine animosity will make things somewhat interesting, especially as Vitali is not over-cautious like Wlad, so it could be really brutal.

Also, the style match-up is better than Wlad-Haye was, because Vitali is much easier to hit (at least in the early rounds) than Wlad is, especially now that he's starting to slow down a little - which means Haye could possibly make it interesting for a few rounds. And despite his flaws, Haye does have a bigger punch and more speed than anyone Vitali has faced since his comeback, arguably since Sanders; and is certainly capable of hurting Vitali if he lands cleanly - unlike Adamek. I'd far rather watch Vitali-Haye than Vitali-Adamek, because I knew in advance that Adamek just didn't have the power to pose any threat.
