Prime vs. Prime Marg made Cotto quit. That's a fact and Marg deserves major props for it.

But Cotto also fought like an idiot and was in the fight in to the 11th round.....a few tactical adjustments and who's to say that a Prime Cotto can't beat a Prime Marg.

he just couldn't sustain it.

doubt this version of cotto would be able to sustain it better.


only thing cotto could improve on from the 1st fight is to learn to clinch and go forward more instead of constantly backing up.

but even doing that has its own drawbacks. clinching is always more draining on the smaller man for example.

Yea he fought smart if it was a 6 round fight.

But fighting off the ropes from the 2nd fight on against a volume puncher is ******. Now I know Margarito gets credit for that as well for the pressure but Cotto obviously did not prepare properly from a tactical standpoint.
