p4p when he went life and death and really lost to a guy that mayweather easily schooled and spanked for 12 rounds??? recently alot of their p4p fighters have been getting exposed like martinez, donaire..these people had freaking juan manuel lopez ranked in their p4p at one point when he had never beat anybody and struggled against mtagwa and we all know what happened with him . p4p is supposed to mean dominance and SKILL in all aspects of the game. what say u?

Pacquiao wasn’t fighting a chump. Marquez is the No. 5 fighter in the world pound for pound. And Pacquiao beat him, at least officially.

Exactly! The best thing that Pacquiao can say is that he "officially" won the fight. Meanwhile there are a lot of people who don't agree with the official decision. Those people felt as if he was beaten by the #5 p4p fighter. In all olther sports when #1 loses to #5, #1 drops in the polls/rankings.

A great fighter shouldn’t necessarily be demoted because another great fighter has his number. We didn’t think less of Muhammad Ali because he had trouble with Ken Norton three times. The same with Willie Pep and Sandy Saddler in their series.

This point is nonsensical. There were no p4p rankings during Ali's time. It's not about thinking less of Pacquiao, it's about accurately ranking him amongst his peers based solely on his skills as a fighter. It's nothing personal, Pacquiao backers seem to take every discussion/debate about him as a fighter personally.

Again, more emotional BS. So which is it, did Pacquiao have an off night or was he just in there with a guy who has his number? Too many excuses based on emotion and not enough rational thought. The reality is that the people who claimed that Pacquiao was the best p4p fighter in the world were saying that he had improved since he last fought Marquez was a much better fighter now. A lot of those people were brought back to reality last Saturday night. Pacquiao wasn't the best p4p fighter in the world when he fought Marquez the 2nd time, and he's not now.

Pacquiao has accomplished more than Mayweather in recent years. The Filipino is 9-0 against big-name opponents since the beginning of 2008; Mayweather is 3-0 in that time.

Pacquiao accomplishing more than Mayweather over the last few years doesn't mean that he's a better p4p fighter. That's just more fanboy rationale. Look at this way, if the fight were announced today Mayweather would be the clear favorite and that was true even before last Saturday. That tells you who the majority of people really feel is the better fighter.

He didn't expose anyone. He just knows how to fight Pacman. It's just a tight style matchup. Pac still won so there was no exposing. People just are making a fit because Jmm did better than expected. It's no big deal. As far as I'm concerned, Pac has closed the book on that saga and should move on now.
