Kermit got this shot because he looks shot. His last few fights have gone from bad to worse, to the point where he's been PICKED as Conelo's next victim. Conelo's handlers protect him with a jealousy bordering on paranoia, so to be picked by them is almost an insult. They see Cintron as another easy payday, and judging by Conelo's choice of opposition so far, so do I.

Seriously, I agree w/this and am looking forward to seeing how Alvarez handles this fight.

I'd like to get on the bandwagon but I haven't seen anything yet to completely convince me Canelo is the actual goods. This is a step in that direction.

Better still, I don't like Kermit so would be happy to see him well pummeled by the Cinnamon Kid.

Each guy has a tremendous amount to gain and risk.

For Cintron if he wins he takes himself back into a very lucrative jr. middle weight division, extends his career, lots more money. A loss especially a KO loss signifies a third tier stamp from here on out.

Canelo loses this and it is a huge setback, huge. If he KO's Cintron its like an official coming out party whooping his best opponent to date impressively.

            I like this fight.

Sounds like Kermit is approaching this fight the right way. I hope he really gets out there and tests Canelo. He has the skill and power to do so but his focus has fallen short in recent outings.

Canelo gets better with every fight and will be heavily favored to win.

Personally, I think he could end up being just right for the picking for Cintron.

hmmm, depends which kermit turns up.
the cry baby who got *****ed by plasterito or the ****er we know he is.
the first few rnds will be very telling should things not begin to go his way i think.
i predict a ko either way or a DQ loss for kermit if things dont go his way.
                and he will cry foul.

Kermit might have the firepower. But can he pull the trigger?
Canelo ain't "Speedy" Molina so Kermit can engage more freely. So in that sense he is a live underdog. Also depend on the froggie's mental state which is unpredictable. Is kermit the same when he fought Angulo as he seemed to have declined?

If cintron brings his A game he def can ko canelo, but after the mora fight which was his top rank debut, I doubt it. Arum is just tossing him to golden boy to feed canelo and get some money back after what probably was a bad investment, after all theres always good money on a rican mexican title fight.... If he hurts canelo early I give him a good chance on the upset, othrwise will be a onesided maybe late tko for the ginger kid.
