Leonard Ellerbe, adviser to WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr., doesn't see a reason for Manny Pacquiao to stage an immediate fourth fight with Juan Manuel Marquez. Last Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Pacquaio won a controversial twelve round majority decision over Marquez. Mayweather plans to fight on May 5 at the MGM Grand, and negotiations for a Pacquiao fight were set to begin, but now the Filipino superstar and his promotional team, Top Rank, are going to pursue a fourth clash with Marquez instead.

I agree with that scenario Pac v Floyd. Looks like Floyd saw something last Sat and now he comes out w/ a big mouth asking for the fight, after ducking for so long. If Pac beats Floyd then a 4th fight w/ Marquez could come next, but if Pac loses he should retire. Mention Martinez to Floyd and he runs like a duck, kwak, kwak, kwak..

Sad thing is, as a fight fan and moral, God fearing individual Manny Pacquaio is almost impossible not to like. But the clowns around him, along with his new fanbase (who are in the Guiness book of records for the biggest collection of weirdos on planet Earth) and me and a lot of normal people rooting against him. And until very recently, he was my favorite fighter.

After a close fight in 2008.... marquez went to philippines to try and get rematch but team pac didn't want anything to do with marquez until...


3 years later = 2011 = after ANOTHER close fight .... now fight floyd or marquez ... "we'll do marquez right away!"


really?!?!?!? so with all of those easier fights out there, he held off with a marquez fight for years, but with only ONE FIGHT out there that means anything, he'd rather fight marquez right away this time?!?!?!?!
