Lara-williams now that's a robbery! once agin, jmm-pac3 was close and could have gone either way. was the result affected by boxing politics and boxing economics? probably.
    very true
i never said it was one of the biggest robberies
the fact is that JMM make pac look average and no one has done that
difference is when pac makes others look confused and defeats them mentally he is brilliant but when it happens to him oh he had an off night
    tons of excuses
neither one of these guys can ever beat the other convincingly
    plain and simple

props to marquez for realizing he has the leverage now.
I've always wondered what exactly do "props" mean. Anyway, if Marquez thinks he's in the "driver's seat" he is deluded, as are all those who think the same. The Golden Goose is Manny Pacquiao, and without HIM, Marquez wouldn't get more than a much lower offer for a fight against anyone. Because he was expected to be blasted out of the ring by everyone, and istead put up a very good fight and was able to hold his own, doesn't mean any more than that he had a good fight, and was offered a return, in which, likely he would get either the same or nearly thhe same amount of money as this past fight.

If there's a huge global or US demand for a 4th fight, he may get more, but that would be up to Top Rank, who is responsible for all the expenses. And since Arum and Pacquiao have both expressed a desire for a 4th fight, it looks good for Marquez' bank balance.

However, I would think that The Roach will have worked out a plan for avoiding having MannyP's foot constantly stepped on, trapped and unable to move whilst Marquez is punching.........

Pacquiao and Top Rank are in the "driver's seat".

        • Marquez has the best position right now ... he left the fight as a hero, Manny as the villain.

Now about Marquez saying that he wants the fight in Mexico, well he's doing the right thing, he's not going to Las Vegas again because he won't get the decision there, no matter what.

I've been seeing a lot of guys saying that Pacquiao is the PPV star, that Marquez is in no position to ask for a 50-50 split or to make his conditions to this possible 4th fight, and yeah Manny is the star, but his image was seriously hurt by this fight and now he's the one that's after Marquez, not the other way around.

Right now who's going to benefit more from a 4th fight, Manny or Marquez? Certainly Marquez would benefit from getting finally a record win against Manny, however Pacquiao is the one that needs this fight to clean his image.

There's another possibility of course, Manny could refuse Marquez conditions, but then what? I've been seeing also a lot of guys saying that Manny could fight other guys such as Bradley or Maidana. Really? The desert storm? The guy who brings about 2,000 people to watch his fights? I won't say he's a bad boxer, but he's really boring for most fans and even with a win for Pacquiao it won't prove anything ... Bradley isn't Marquez or Mayweather.

About the fight being in Mexico, why not? Lots of people in here talk like they know everything about Mexico, but they don't know crap about it, just some of the stuff they read on the internet or watch in the news. Mexico is certainly prepared to host a fourth fight between Marquez and Pacquiao. Just in this year Mexico hosted the Pan american games and the under 17 FIFA World Cup, and even before that a lot of stadiums were rebuilt and some of them were just made for the mexican football league, for example the Omnilife Stadium in Guadalajara, a first world stadium with a capacity of 50,000.

Now the drug cartel situation (to which almost everybody seems to know everything about) ... that problem is really serious, I won't say it isn't, but it happens a lot in the north part of the country, and some states more in the south, but Jalisco (where the Omnilife stadium is) and Mexico City (Azteca stadium, over 100,000 capacity) don't have this problems with the drug cartels.

So let's be honest, why not? I mean I don't want to see a 4th fight because I don't think that Marquez has anything left to prove, for me and for most mexicans he's the true winner, and I can tell you that right now Marquez is the most popular guy in the country, he was received as a national hero and he hasn't been any more popular than he's right now.
But just in case there's a 4th fight, Marquez is doing the right thing, he's not asking for the impossible, I mean Marquez went 2 divisions up and got about 1/8 of the money that Pacquiao got for their last fight. Marquez can establish the country, more money of course, and if I was him I would also make this fight at 140 pounds, which IMO is not illogical since it would be a middle point in weight for both Pacquiao and Marquez.

But hey, if Pacquiao doesn't wants the fight anymore, that's just fine, he can go on and fight Bradley, but would that really sell the same as a 4th fight with Marquez? Would it restore Manny's reputation? I don't think so...

Oh and by the way, don't just talk about money, sure Marquez would love to get more money from a 4th fight, but don't forget he isn't Margarito or Clottey... he could've gone in there with Manny with absolutely no preparation and get KOd and he still would've gotten his $5 million + PPV, but he didn't ... Marquez isn't just about money, as he said in an interview that was made to him and Nacho, yeah money is important and that's why most boxers turn pro, but winning is even more important and I'm sure you can all agree that's the mentality that Marquez has and always will have.

          • After the throwing of bottle in Vegas, I really doubt Pac-JMM IV will happen in Mexico, MP might be assassinated. Because of JMM`s logic, the fight will never happen. Bring on Floyd then. JMM will not earn another big payday and will come begging for it later on.

It would be classic if JMM demanded it, that's all i'm saying. Besides, it's not an issue, right? I can easily see JMM asking just because of the BS team pac gave him about his new strength and condoning coach.

I hope JMM prices himself out. I hope JMM demands everything that forces Bob to decline... The ONLY option at that point is Mayweather. The fight everyone wants to see.

If Pac gets his ass whooped again by JMM, nobody will want to see it.
This sounds like spite against Pacquiao. Also doing Marquez out of what might the the biggest fight of his qhole career.......Not nice. you should rethink this.

              • JMM whupped pacs ass ,JMM isnt seeking redemption he just redeemed himself its pac thats seeking redemption not JMM ,Pac is the one who wants the immediate re-match because he doesnt feel comfortable in knowing he lost to a better man at least the dude is honest.pac can go ahead and fight and lose against mayweather but its very clear he went to the phillpines with a clear cut loss he knows this the world knows this, pacmans credibility is shattered to a degree xcept to delusional fans of course, bob arum is the ultimate winner but JMM as earned every right to have the fight where he wants and all the major details ,JMM has the power rt now not pacman himself isnt happy with "the win" that says it all.The world knows and saw. pacman lost to JMM bigtime on the biggest stage at the most important moment of his career,a mayweather fight means nothing rt now, only a ***** or mayweather would want that fight thats a surefire loss for pac that much is clear.
