    Looks that way.

Arum has frantically been filling Pac''s dance-card, so this situation suits him to the ground.

A bad move imo, because exactly the same thing will happen. Manny will NEVER decisively beat Marquez, because he cannot, end of story.

This is true....he will never beat Marquez decisively and their bouts will always end in controversy with those arguing in favor of Marquez and those arguing in favor of Pacquiao. Both guys need to move on IMO

That fight will sink Pac's stock even further, for a number of reasons.....

a.) Now, Marquez is confident at the weight

I agree that Marquez looked great at this weight. I could actually see Marquez KD Pac because of Manny trying to be more agressive this time around. Also I was really impressed with Marquez power and how he hurt Manny. He should have gotten that Hernandez dude a lot sooner

b.) JMM just had a real good close-up-and-personal look at the "new" Pacquiao, so..... there are no secrets or surprises there

c.) the better fighter will make the better adjustments, and that fighter is Marquez

d.) because the "unfocused" and "cramps" excuses, will not work a second time
I agree the cramps excuse was weak. However I really think they underestimated Marquez, but it really didn't matter as both are made for each other and will always produce close fights

Also I don't think Mexico is in position to host a big fight due to all the problems the government is having down there controlling the cartels and corruption. The average American simply doesn't want to go there due to the circumstances down there. Hell I even talk to a few of my buddies at work who have family in Mexico and even they state they don't like going down there to visit relatives.

So you honestly think he will go to WW and fight a no name in Senchecko? How would winning a vacant strap enhance his legacy? Berto and Ortiz are both coming off of losses in big fights (well Berto beat Javeck but the public only remembers the Ortiz fight).

Look I'm not here to argue or even debate, just offer a different perspective. I honestly don't see who Marquez can face that would enhance his career. Also anyone else he faces will only bring 2 million at most, whereas he can get 15 million plus against Pacquiao.

      Manny is his best option....period.
I agree and have been agreeing but JMM has once before priced himself out just to fight some no name for a lot less. I'm saying if he demanded everything he wanted and Bob walked away, he could stay JWW or WW and get a strap. It's another belt in a different weight class which enhances his legacy.

However it is now offical that Bob Arum is not allowing Pac to fight Mayweather. JMM has all the more reason to ask for whatever he wants. What will they do? Walk away and fight Mayweather? not likely.

      • If Pac doesn't deliver his offer for a 4th match...

,,against JMM and goes after Jr....early next year....I guarantee it...Pac will beat the **** out of Jr...in 12 rounds!!!!

Even if that fight was close, if the end result was even slightly affected by "politics and boxing economics"..... then it was a robbery, plain and simple.

If that same result was made by the sway of judges scoring a real close fight, then no..... but if the result was manipulated or affected by any external factor, then it was a robbery.

          Come on.
a robbery in my opinion is a very one sided fight but the judges awards it to the losing fighter anyway. which wasnt the case for this fight as it was very close and one can make the case for both fighters. that was the only point i was trying to make. would the judges have made a different decision if there were no external factors? i would think so. but it doesnt change the fact that the fight was close. the only possible scores for me is 7-5 for JMM, 6-6, or 7-5 pacquiao. anything outside that is a biased fan boy.

                  • i've called bob arum a scumbag for the last 25 years and as long as he's involved in promoting a boxing match there will be some form of corruption involved....no matter where it's held.

                    • There is a difference between losing and being abussed or robbed, Mexicans aren´t idiots. Watch Chávez Jr vs Vanda 1 and tell mexicans they are too biassed lol.
