JMM's face is swollen up bad and multiple quality punches are needed to produce that kind of face. i know damage is subjective but it is really suggestive of the effectiveness of the punches. swollen faces nd lumps dont appear magically. they come from QUALITY EFFECTIVE PUNCHING.
    dude punchstat means crap
they DR those numbers all the time
it can be a simple jab or a power punch that grazed the face

    ok how about this
going by punchstat then JMM won both the second and first fights cause he landed more
    according to your logic
you only use that when it works in your favor
name one fight besides the bs first round knock out wher JMM face didnt look swollen
now name me one fight where manny walked to his corner with his head down and body language showing defeat on more than one occassion in one fight
that speaks a lot more than your supposed punch stats
manny was a defeated man that night he knew it roach knew it the whole world knows it now

    • im a huge fan of pacquiao's exciting offense. but right now i think floyds high IQ boxing would school him. this fight really has to happen. hoping that pacquiao would pull of a win but im very doubtful.

        WOw
        it was a great fight
I guess you are a ******* to think otherwise
        especially cause Pac got owned
he didt steam roll through him like he had his other previous 5 hand picked opponents

JMM definitely won more rounds in the previous 2 fights as validated by the pucnhstats but those decisions are justified by the knockdowns in my opinion. still very close. i believe jmm won the second though. i think manny won the first. the 10-6 round was hard to overcome. im no *******. im really just wondering why some people saw this as a robbery when in fact it could have gone either way. very close.

Not even close in my eyes and the eyes of many. Ring generalship is the guy who controls pace and tempo. Was this PAc pace or tempo? No it wasnt. Pac was so frustrated in there it was sad. Pac lands more yes but thats because hes fast and when he went in he would throw like 8 punches till JMM slid out and went back to controlling fight, being the ring general. Anybody can go in there and just throw punches. You never mention that Pac threw 148 more punches but only landed 32 more than JMM and landed at a lower %. JMM 8-4 easy

Ring generalship will go to marquez his back never touch the ropes. and the fight went where he took the fight, Everytime he was close to the ropes he would spin out and bring the fight back to the center. Manny at times lunged him self into the ropes trying to push marquez back. Manny just followed marquez in a straight line rather then cut the ring off. He looked fancy with his attempt on creating angles but was unsuccessful for the most part cause his attempt on creating angles did not make marquez get out of position to be tag by a punch created from the angles.

Only place you can score volume punching is effective aggression. Did the aggression forced marquez to do anything different if no then the volume punching was ineffective. Marquez landed at a higher percentage @ 32% to pacquaio 30% . So you can see how volume punching and compu box stats could easily confuse people.

Not a fan of either but I do have to agree I see Floydie schooling pac and knocking him out after the 9th. Pac has a punchers chance but the same punchers chance that Mosley had when he fought pac and we all know how well that worked out.

Where did i say in my post i didnt think it was a great fight? Show me?

All i merely said was it didnt go the way Manny was told, so he was baffled. He had 2 wars with JMM, and he thought the 3rd would be another war, but it wasnt a war so he was baffled. It was still a great fight though.

Yes! No catch weight, 135-140, ****!

He's bright enough to realize that even though Manny's the cash cow, he's the one in the driver's seat. Not only should he insist on the fight being on his turf, he should ask for more than $10 mil guaranteed. $15 mil+ PPV upside sounds about right. This past fight did some monster numbers across the board (9th all time gate in Nevada, most watched Boxing event in Mexico's history, most buys for a Pacquiao fight according to early reports).

They could fill Azteca stadium to capacity in 2 days. If Pac's side says no, JMM can walk away and Top Rank would be forced to parlay with Haymon and co. and if they instead choose to go to some other bull**** like Tim Bradley, the backlash would be epic.

                      Brilliant.
                      Agreed, on all points.

He should retire and ride off into the sunset and take care of his family and keep working on ESPN Deportes.

JMM has nothing to prove and he will never get a dec win over Pac....ever. Not as long as a mega payday with Mayweather is looming out there.
                      QFT.

Very smart on your part champ.

                      Put this in as well...

                      50/50 split.
                      In Mexico
Foreign judges, ie. Canada, Germany, Japan, etc.. and not from US, Mexico, or the Philippines.
                      No catch weight. 135 - 140
                      PPV% 50/50

Bob of course will say no to all of those request, and he will have to start negotiations with Team Floyd.
