Why doesn't Pacquiao learn to backpeddle???

These kinds of post exemplifies the huge expectations on Pac. He wins every single round and people like this kid even make it appear that he lost just because he didn't win in the typical Pacquiao fashion.

That's because I dont think roach works with PAC on any defense. Like i said someone from team PAC needs to man up and tell manny that when u duck a punch u still look cool also. U dont always have to take hits to show that ur tough.Comment

since when does backpeddling all night and getting outlanded in almost every round transate to a win?why is using footwork and angles called backpedaling and running all of a sudden, its funny sugar ray and ali are never criticized for these exact techniques.... only when u fight manny are u suopposed to throw all your technique out the door and fight him like marg and hatton did and hope for better results... smh
dont give the crisper punches argument - as you can see jmms face was an absolute mess, whereas pac only had stitches from a headbutt...the headbutt was jmms best punch all night.
you people are all trying to convince yourself jmm won because of the crowds reaction.
once the punch stats were released, im sure none of you bothered to rewatch and see that pac won at least 7, and very possibly 9 rounds.Comment

You didnt get the memo??? Running backwards all night aka "creatively creating space" and being deathly afraid to engage your opponent is the new definition of Warrior....Comment

Because if he learned to backpeddle, then he wouldn't be the Manny Pacquiao we've all come to know. You don't change a players game in the 9th inning.Instead of trying to actually engage his opponent and try to get a knock out, maybe to make an exciting fight and make fans happy, he should run backwards all night long and bore his opponent to death, then score a few highlight punches so people can say you dominated....
Learn to backpeddle Pac!!! Because everyone here knows real warriors run backwards the entire fight,,, and people will still say you dominated and call you a master boxer.Comment

i don't mind seeing pac slow down a little bit and wait for the action come his way rather than initiate it all the time. he's getting old, he can't rely on his explosiveness all the time.
he should start using the jab consistently now...it's not like he can't jab anyway so i don't understand why roach is not encouraging him to jab more. they developed his right hand but it's more like a counter right hook. he should use his right hand more on jabbing.Comment

yes but JMM punches looked soooo nice and clean... And my tv sound was low but the sound of JMM's punches was heard by my neighbors.
Doesnt that give JMM the edge??Comment

So counter punchers are boring? Hmm so Whitaker, Hagler, Roy Jones, Ricardo Lopez & Holyfield are boring runners?Instead of trying to actually engage his opponent and try to get a knock out, maybe to make an exciting fight and make fans happy, he should run backwards all night long and bore his opponent to death, then score a few highlight punches so people can say you dominated....

Please don't disrespect the SPORT & HISTORY of boxing by calling counter-punchers boring & runners. It's pathetic & makes you look ******.Comment

No, it's not about other boxers. It's about Pac. He needs to learn
patience and play the countering. He's not the challenger. He's
the champ. His opponents are the challengers. They're the ones
who has to prove something and try to win.
