Why doesn't Pacquiao learn to backpeddle???

Instead of trying to actually engage his opponent and try to get a knock out, maybe to make an exciting fight and make fans happy, he should run backwards all night long and bore his opponent to death, then score a few highlight punches so people can say you dominated....

Learn to backpeddle Pac!!! Because everyone here knows real warriors run backwards the entire fight,,, and people will still say you dominated and call you a master boxer.

he isn't an intelligent fighter. he's many things and much of what he does he does amazingly well but he's not that smart in the ring. look at how mosley had him completely stumped for example.

I think Pacqs biggest problem right now is he still havent learned how to block an uppercut.

It was evident in the Cotto fight, and he still havent fixed it.

Pacquiao's problem is that he has no defense and is one dimensional.

            haha. well my 2 cents..

pac already beats jmm by playing into his style

now if we were to revese roles, and have jmm come forward, pac would knock him out - easy as that

jmm was terrified of pac - thats his only reason for backpeddling all night and rightly losing the fight.

the worst part of it all, was that jmm couldnt even outland pac.

maybe he should learn how to box, and adjust while hes at it! u guys are pathetic, its okay that your hero looked below average saturday, hes still good but the truth is hes not a great technical boxer

positives: He has power, he can take a punch, hes fast, puts on
exciting fights, hes one of the hardest working fighters to ever grace
              the sport.

Negatives: Hes just a terrible boxer, he cant adjust, he cant cut off
the ring, hes super predictable in his offense, he cant deal with
movement, he doesnt know when to circle left or right, he cant deal
with counter punches, has no defense (which is why hes pretty much
finished at the age of 32), reverts to D level amature boxing mistakes when he gets frustrated, and much more... THESE ARE ALL FACTS

the conclusion: Pac is one hell of an athlete but when it comes to the
art of boxing he just simply does not have it, sure he sells out
stadiums, he excites fans mainly those who have no idea what boxing is, hes captured the media with his so called innocent personality and exciting fights but the problem is, boxing is not about exciting fights all the time its about styles, adjusting to what an opponent is doing, strategys, angles, and much much more than what a big stomach popcorn ball fan wants too see....

why is using footwork and angles called backpedaling and running all of a sudden, its funny sugar ray and ali are never criticized for these exact techniques.... only when u fight manny are u suopposed to throw all your technique out the door and fight him like marg and hatton did and hope for better results... smh

You've just made the TS's point. Mosley didn't win a single round in that fight. What the TS is saying is Pac needs to stop moving forward and let his opponent come, then Pac does the countering. Pac does it because that's what fans expect him to do. He can't stand being booed.

He was always miles ahead in many of his fights and he could have just moved around and taken it easy in the later rounds. But he has to please the audience.

He made his career and is expected to engage his opponents. Why change to a boring counterpuncher? The only way to make money as a counterpuncher is if you have some sort of charisma or a loudmouth.
