Indians are generally weak because they don't eat meat, fish or even eggs. That's why they never produce boxers. There's no way you can be a boxer without meat fish or eggs

he lacks in power because he lifts weights and does not have speed

Bradley just recently became a vegan,so no because he was already sub-par in the power department or at least his record suggests so

I thought he was only a vegan while training?

I don't think Bradley is that much of a weak puncher, he doesn't plant his feet well and usually swarms with volume.

Speed is more important than power anyways, and sometimes speed can= power if you hit the target just right. I mean you want to land on your opponent before they land on you. So, no reason to load up on one shot

...excellent post. Bradley has incredible stamina, great speed, underrated power (he has stunned and or dropped every opponent he has faced). He even showed in this fight that it was the other opponent who was instigating the headbutts. Bradley is great at adapting in the ring, on the fly.....just as Calzaghe was and both are great, great boxers- their "unique" styles make them hard to figure out and hard to hit. Getting in 70 or 80 more shots is what wins you rounds.

bradley is a full-time vegan now. in truth, animal protein is very overrated with regard to athletic performance. protein synthesis is a product of having sufficient amino acids, fatty acids, and enzymes in your system - none of which come from cooked animal flesh. honestly it depends on which point of the training cycle the body is in. if you are in a building phase, then more protein is necessary. if the body is as muscular as it needs to be and maintenance is key, then high levels of animal protein are unnecessary.

remember that lean meat takes far, far more energy to digest than plant-based foods and can actually take away from athletic performance in high doses. it may sound ridiculous, but the extra energy spared by not breaking down complex proteins can be used for training, mental focus, recovery, etc. nutrition is very commonly misunderstood, especially with regard to athletes - we will be seeing many, many more vegetarian/vegan athletes in the years to come..
