Still at #2, Marquez still at #4 behind Donaire and in front of Martinez:

You try hard to sound objective but you're clearly biased. Pacquiao does'nt deserve any benefit of the doubt over Mayweather or any other fighter when talking p4p. You also seem to dismiss the role that he and his team have played in the Mayweather fight not being made as of all on Mayweather. Finally Mayweather would be the clear favorite if they do fight and if you can't admit that then you're not being honest with yourself.

He fell behind Mayweather in my book, I still have him at @ 2 with JMM @ 3 but I can see anyone swapping the two considering the controversy.

I've written much about the role both have played and dismiss nothing. The March 2009 fight fell apart when Pac's side walked away. May's side killed round two. I have no bias and if one of us lacks objectivity, it isn't me.

you see how ridiculous that sounds? Marquez is a lightweight that had his best days at featherweight. Oscar got a title at Middleweight.

completely different Weightclasses. The comparison doesn't apply
point taken, but i disagree.... pac also defined his legacy at the lower weights. yet he fought the bigger dudes.

pac & jmm are essentially the same size (thats why i compared them, one decided to stay at the lower weights, the other decided to test himself at the higher weights)....comparing pac and sergio is off... the starting point of comparison doesnt work in that scenario. but i get what you were trying to say.

if you want to compare pac & sergio... IMO, then it would be martinez jumping up to 168 and beating solid competition (not great, but solid). but we all know martinez is unwilling to do that. sergio wont even CONSIDER 168.

btw, after saturday night... i think sergio is on the cusp of snagging #1. all he needs is a solid win over pirog, kirkland, or comparable fighter.... lets not forget sergio didnt look too great against barker.... if he impressed against barker, then i have no problem with pac slipping below sergio.

either way, the p4p rankings is a mess.... the top 3 didnt impress with their last bouts.

OR if floyd wins in february against a solid opponent, then floyd EASILY returns at #1.

either way, pac is in trouble. 2012 p4p lists will get shaken up.

pac is a cheating bum who made a name for himself by fighting weight drained bums from top rank..a nearly 40 year old marquez smashed him at HIS WEIGHT CLASS...mayweather is number one..marquez number 2...the klitschko brothers 3 and 4.....ROIDQUIAO doesn't even belong in the top 50...he's a sore loser and he knows it

Well you didn't write about the role that both have played here. You clearly say we'd have seen the fight if Mayweather was certain. Mayweather killed a March '09 fight with Pacquiao? He's said that there was no negotiations then. You are biased whether you admit it or not.

That is a good point. I would love to see how that plays out too.
