lacy only fought one of those guys and he was rated #9. bute beat andrade, bika, glen johnson, all guys who were in the top 10 and he beat a reigning champ berrio. bute was much better than lacy. losing to froch who fought everyone is better than losing to calzaghe who was seen as a joke similar to senchenko.

Are you seriously making a case that 20 fight Jeff Lacy was more proven than 30 fight 9 successful defense Lucian Bute?

You keep insisting I never watched Lacy fight. I JUST WATCHED Lacy against Reid. Lacy was a 5'9 bulky SMW with good power that was easily caught with counters and had horrible boxing skills and techniques.

Lucian Bute is a 6'2 SMW that is much more proven then Lacy.

Stop throwing the boxrec logic around, anyone can just go watch Lacy fights on various boxing sites at any time they want. You can go youtube Lacy right now and watch his one dimensional ass knock out bums by the dozen. You tell me which fighters Lacy BEAT that were better then Bute's resume. Go for it.

Lucian Bute hold victories over at least 8 decent fighters. Lacy beaten at most 4.(That's stretching it)

that fight was hilarious. lacy kept clubbing reid in the back of the head and getting knockdowns while reid was complaining. a true sign of talent when you can club your opponent in the back of the head with your wide azz punches. lacy always looked crap to me. rubin williams fight got outboxed, omar sheika almost lost, behind syd vanderpool before getting an early type stoppage, he was losing to some guy named donnel wiggins before scoring a ko. bute dominated all his opponents cept for when andrade basically ko'd him. bika is a much better fighter than anyone lacy ever fought and much better than lacy period. lacy let calzaghe hold him the entire fight and couldn't do anything about it. the next mike tyson? tyson would murder someone on the inside. lacy just sucks.

ibo? ok that doesn't count. that's not considered a belt even now and had even less acclaim in 2005. going 12 with calzaghe isn't hard to do because calzaghe has no power. well it's hard to do because usually the ref jumps in when calzaghe is grazing your gloves with a slap furry so you are right after all.
