Lol. Bute was over hyped, but he is still a good fighter compare to Lacy.

Did you even watch boxing when Lacy was prime? Lacy would have KOed Bute's garbage ass. Lacy's record was better than Bute's and dont forget Lacy and Calzaghe were the best in the division at that time and that fight was to determine who was the best and UNIFY 168. Bute was never in a position to unify 168. Bute NEVER beat anyone as good as Typsko and Lacy did it with one arm. Go look at Lacy's chin and tell me Bute would stop him. Lacy ducked noone and fought the best in the division. Bute sat on the sidelines of the super 6 and fought cab drivers and when he finally did face a super sixer he got KTFO.

Lacy was 20-0 leading up to the Calzaghe fight. His best wins was a Robin Reid, a Omar Shieka and a Scott Pemberton.

Lucian Bute was 30-0 with 9 Straight Title defenses.
He have beaten Librado Andrade (the 2nd fight he knocked him out)
Bika,Johnson,Berrio,Miranda, Mendy, and Magee.

Lacy did not even beat a top 10 fighter during his time, he was the ultimate ****ing hypejob. He was brutally exposed by Calzaghe.

Bute even with the Froch lost as of right now STILL ranks higher then Lacy or Gennady in terms of resume.

I really do not think that matters personally.

He takes to trade, and does a good job of doing that. He is patient, and has shown the ability to take a punch from guys who can crack:

And I would not say including him in a pound for pound list at this point is out of the question.

Are you seriously making a case that 20 fight Jeff Lacy was more proven than 30 fight 9 successful defense Lucian Bute?

You keep insisting I never watched Lacy fight. I JUST WATCHED Lacy against Reid. Lacy was a 5'9 bulky SMW with good power that was easily caught with counters and had horrible boxing skills and techniques.

Lucian Bute is a 6'2 SMW that is much more proven then Lacy.

Stop throwing the boxrec logic around, anyone can just go watch Lacy fights on various boxing sites at any time they want. You can go youtube Lacy right now and watch his one dimensional ass knock out bums by the dozen. You tell me which fighters Lacy BEAT that were better then Bute's resume. Go for it.

lacy only had the ibf belt which was vacant when he won it. there were plenty of people to fight but he kept fighting guys like sheika, pemberton, rubin williams for a reason. Protect the untalented fighter mode!
