  • I thought Marquez won the fight also or could have gotten a draw but based on compubox stats Manny was ahead in every category so it's hard to tell if Marquez deserved a win, not unless compubox is rigged w/c is ridiculous.

I guess people calling Marquez was robbed is because Pacquiao was not his usual self and was already expecting a Pacquiao win in a dominating fashion so a calm and less aggressive Manny (tried to be a counter puncher) was a surprised and they began to think that Marquez outclassed him. I was contemplating and I guessed Manny's team had a wrong game plan but he was still the aggressor in the fight plus he was the champion, and it was also Marquez fault for being to passive and stick to counter punching at the later rounds instead of convincing the judges. Plus, emotion was high since most of the live viewers were Mexican as it was heard during the national anthem so the robbed thing was magnified instead of looking at the actual stats.

    Marquez is Pacquiao's cont****lo.

Watching the fight in slow motion will open your eyes who really won the fight.
        So,

why exactly did Manny look so despondent?

        • Osirus, I realized that your post should not be taken serious. Your thinking is worst than Arum's.

            My thought exactly.

I think some of those later rounds it was even more apparent. I really don't care though as that is how I saw the fight 116-112, even though I can see people making a case for a draw 114-114 by giving Marquez rounds 8 and 11 (which I stated in my opening post).

Again people were so caught up with Pac's recent success, the thoughts of Marquez being blown out, that anytime Marquez look to have success (which I admit he had a lot of) they blew it out of proportion.

            • Like project said ; The only way Marquez was winning that fight last night, was by either KO, or death. He clearly won 8 rounds on my card, and yet when the first score of 114-114 was announced, I knew immediately it was going to be a majority decision for Manny.

              This sport is seriously corrupt.

That 116-112 card for Pac is bullshit. Ridiculous. Still don't agree with Beristain's advice to JMM.

He was his usual self, it just wasn't his usual opponent.

No problem bro. I respect everyone's opinion and not once did I bash anyone who claims Marquez won.

If you felt that way....cool....we can just agree to disagree.

I call bullshit on your prehistoric, "you have to take the title from the Champion powerfully" logic.

Newsflash : A title bout in boxing is the same as a non title bout, all you have to do to win it is win more rounds.

And Marquez won twice as many rounds as Pacquiao did last night.
