Pacquiao/Marquez Post Fight Discussion- Please re-vote in the poll. .

after watching it again here's my take round per round.

no bias here. I had JMM winning when I watched it live, let's see it again without all the tension and adrenaline rush. haha

round 1: 10-9 Pacquiao , Not much action but Manny tagged JMM more, with more solid shots.

round 2: 10-9 JMM, solid counter punching although not much action, landed cleaner blows than Pacquiao

round 3: 10-9 JMM, Countering Pacquiao every chance he gets, Pacquiao looks a bit confused

round 4: 10-9 Pacquiao, Manny picking up the pace, tagging JMM with solid shots, although JMM landed a nice right hand that popped Manny's head at the end of the round

round 5: 10-9 JMM, Manny's head was target practice for the right hand of Marquez this round

round 6: 10-10 Draw, when Marquez hits solid, Pacquiao returns with another close combo. too close to call this round, nice action in this round

round 7: 10-10 ,again too close to call. Pacquiao was getting tagged with right hands but landing some blazing combos on JMM, another even round

round 8: 10-9 Pacquiao, By just a frickin inch, he landed very slightly more significant shots and combos this round, and just the more effective aggressor this round

round 9: 10-9 Marquez, damn nice action packed round. Pac more the aggressor with ****in fast combos, but not hitting marquez much, Marquez landed more solid combos this round

round 10: 10-9 Pacquiao, Marquez too conservative this round. Manny tagged him with good shots in his fast combos,

round 11: 10-9 Pacquiao, Marquez was doing almost nothing but he did land a solid 1-2 on Pacquiao at the end of the round, but manny was dominating this round with combos that blitzed JMM

round 12: 10-9 Pacquiao, another Pacquiao round. JMM landed a couple of solid shots.. could of done more, but he didn't, I don't know if it's because of what nacho saying that he was winning and he got it in the bag and he didn't wanna take anymore risks, or was he gassed?. Pacquiao landed more, and landed solid shots

116-114 Pacquiao.

damn I swear I had JMM winning the first time around? maybe because of so much expectation from Pacquiao and so much underestimating of Marquez that we overlooked the fight?

It was a close fight... plenty of gimme rounds.

so basically we got marquez/floyd fans giving every gimme rounds to marquez

got *******s giving every gimme rounds to pacquiao.

it was a close fight, if you thought pacquiao deserved to win cool. if you not, cool. perfectly reasonable either way.

what's not reasonable is all of a sudden the fight was so one sided for someone to claim robbery. its not.

now all of a sudden boxing took a hit cause a close decision didn't go your way?

I agree. This is just the norm after a fight. I'm sure it'll die down a week or so after the fight. I think a lot of it had to do with people expecting Marquez to be wiped out (idiots) and then having him perform like that.

The fight must've been close. I think people expected Márquez to win with whatever little he did. Pacquiao's at a point where he's looked so good, so unstoppable for so long that any time they start tagging him it looks like someone's putting on a clinic.

I'll have to see the fight again to score it but I have a feeling I'm gonna' end up with 115-113 Marquez or 114-114.

i think people just expected so much more from pac and so little from jmm.

i think it amplified everything jmm did and minimized whatever pac did.

people act like jmm schooled pac or something.

pac tagged jmm more and frankly harder. it's just we notice everything jmm does because we expected so little from him.

Of course these are all my opinions, but:
It wasn't a close fight.
There were no "gimme rounds".
It was a robbery.

The same way people don't understand how I could see it that way, I can't imagine how anyone could give Pacquiao 4 rounds in that fight.

I scored the fight 116-112 Marquez winning this fight very clearly

Even Roach told Manny to step up they were falling behind and he could not step up it is ridiculous this is mafia boxing....

I feel ashamed but at the same time everyone with boxing knowledge even the european press all the 3 guys discussing the fight at the euro stations had Marquez beating Pac... lol like they said this is a decision to make everyone pockets happy.

For all of you that will say that Manny won I feel sorry for you........ keep dreaming lol!

You don't have to support one of Pac/Floyd you know. If you think both are ****s then don't support either one, simple as that.

Pac just couldn't take off versus Marquez(like he used to fight bigger, aggressive guys) because Marquez was just there counter punching and his very good at that. I could not recall any round that he tries to dominate pac or attack him. I think if Marquez was a bit more aggressive he should have won. Style makes fight. Marquez was the aggressor versus Floyd during their fight though Floyd was more game/aggressive during his fight with Ortiz.

Yeah, when the media and crowd sees it differently. When the victor doesn't raise his hands after the 12th. When the victor, not the loser, makes excuses as to why he had a bad performance even though he was given the nod.

IMO, I could careless about the judges. This is a spit in the face to fighters like JMM who put their asses through training and 12 rounds of combat to get the short end of the stick. It simply isn't fair. Not to the real professionals like Marquez.
