If Margarito doesn't get the license that is what it would happen but who will they get in 2 weeks? Vanes? Molina? it would be a pr mess for Top Rank and one that would bring shame to their promotional company. I would be in shock if this fights doesn't happen in New York on December 3.Comment

Bob Arum has no conscience. Here we have a cheater who was busted for trying to load his wraps, yet Arum wants him to get licensed and fight again. And furthermore, this cheater suffered a severe beating in his last fight, had to get eye surgery and has a visibly messed up looking eye but Arum STILL wants him to fight again.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for this fight, but this has "Margarito Cash-Out" written all over it.Comment

If this fight is in trouble in New York, then why not prepare to look for other eastern cities to replace the big apple ? Wouldn't it make sense for Bob Arum to consider another area, where there are die hard Puerto Rican fans and consider moving it there ? Maybe Miami or somewhere in the state of Florida would be a good place to move the fight to.Comment

I think it's a great publicity ploy by Arum. The hearing will be all over the media two weeks before the fight. Casual fans will be intrigued by all the controversy sorrounding the fight and will order the PPV.Comment

People keep saying that "there's too much money" etc. But is all that money worth the possibility of Marg suffering a career threatening or even life threatening injury? What if his freakin eye gets knocked out of it's socket during the fight? The NYSAC would be under a lot of fire for clearing Marg for this fight.
Like I said, I hope it goes down, but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't give Marg the green light if they deem him unfit (because of the eye) or unworthy (because of the plaster).
But seriously, how awesome would it be if his eye did pop out during the fight?
****in karma, b1tch!
