oh stop it.its an option, he'll get money for it rite? and he'll likely keep his belt too and wait for bigger fights to come along. its only a matter of time before the ww division blows up. that definitely would have been the safer route.
another loss to ortiz like last time would make him look real suspect. esp considering how ortiz got handled by floyd. its a high risk/high reward bet. u mjight be too young to appreciate that but berto isnt playing it safe by any means. he must have real confidence in his ability to win.Comment

no me either I mean I was on here yesterday stating that Maidana not taking 150k for a Bradley fight was fine by me and even though I don't really like Berto can't fault him for this move
especially if we get an Ortiz rematch out of it while Bailey gets a title shot still
true that. just goes to show that he really wants to avenge that loss so bad. not a fan of berto either but this deserves major props if he actually fights ortiz.
bailey vs brook, make it happen since jones and lujan are also fighting. not familar with carlos jones and saldivia who are ranked higher than brook so i dont really know if they should get the chance first for the title.Comment

^ thisBailey... poor man.. stepped down so he could face the winner and Berto spits in his face. Bet it's to face Ortiz...no doubt there. Hopefully Bailey gets his shot as the IBF mando.. probably against Kell Brook I bet since Senchenko already got his 1 year mando for next year.
they circumvented bailey, and i suspected this ever since they announced the dec. 3 IBF ww eliminator. even made a topic back then.
there's a pretty good chance it will be for the title now.....Comment
