For the record, I don't care who wins. I think Marg will win and bet on him but I don't really have a dog in this fight.

I always like Cotto and loved Margs style as a pure bad ass.

As far as the eye thing, I have seen a few fighters in the gym break their orbital bone and it's not that big of a deal once it heals. As a matter of fact, bone tends to heal stronger than it once was because of the amount of calcium that will build up around the area.

It's just an injury that takes a while to heal but if fully healed, Marg shouldn't have an issue with it.

I don't think Margarito face will hold up but Cotto should not go look for a KO. Cotto will box,box,box..

There are a lot of factors in play and I can't choose.

In the Mayorga fight Cotto showed he's still prone to being walked down and backed up. He was doing that little shuffling dance he does when he gets in trouble a few times, but how much did the Pac beating take out of Margarito and will his eye hold up to being punched on a consistent basis?

Then you have the psychological aspects and motivation. Margarito probably thinks he has the advantage having made Cotto quit, and Cotto probably feels he was cheated after the handwrap scandal came to light and wants retribution.

In the end I just hope the eye thing doesn't come into play and the fight comes to a natural conclusion whoever wins. Otherwise the fight wouldn't answer anything and people would be arguing about the outcome forever. It'd be Vitali-Lewis all over again

I seriosly doubt Cotto can ko Margo, or the opposite. Even with this given set of circumstances. I don't think either guy is shot, but they are both past their primes and have both gotten the wind taken out of their sails.

Cotto has a very good chance at winning this fight, but he's really gotta fight smart, keep from getting discouraged and he can win the fight on points. I am a bit more than fairly confident he can win this fight.

If Cotto plans on targeting that bad eye with his jackhammer jab, Margo might lose that eye. I was butthurt bigtime when Cotto lost that 1st fight. Then all the crap about loaded gloves got me riled for some time, but I'm past all that. It's all very personal for both fighters now. Cotto wants to avange that loss, and Margo wants redemtion.

I find this very, very exciting and I'm just dying to see this fight. I think it's definatly the foty. Btw...good post, Dreamer.

i think cotto will take it this time. we all know cotto can land his bombs and i'm pretty sure marg's eye is going to open up at some point in the fight. i won't be surprised if marg gets stopped.

cotto was landing big shots in the first fight and i always thought that if cotto followed through and brawled a little bit after landing his shots instead of running away, marg's chin would have eventually cracked. and i hope steward will tell cotto to not hunch over, that's the worst position against marg's left uppercut.
