    Junior middleweight contender Erislandy Lara (15-1, 10KOs) was impressed with James Kirkland's big win on Saturday night in Cancun, Mexico. Kirkland (31-1, 27KOs) gave his career a much needed boost with a sixth round stoppage of Alfredo Angulo. Lara was trying to land a spot on the Kirkland-Angulo undercard. He even tried to fight both of the main eventers, but he was rejected by both camps.

          skill wise, that is! we know he's 100% heart, guts, and determination. . . with the best stamina in boxing (arguably). . . but i seriously believe he has no business in the ring with a guy like lara, and it will show. . .
