Angulo hadnt done anything he was just a propsect never won a world title didnt really beat anybody I mean be real the guys he beat were nothing special.

I mean how many former world champions did he beat? I dont recall any I could be wrong but I just dont. What we saw tonight was two fighters face each other in which the winner would move up to the next level and the other fighter will either go back to the drawing board and get another shot to prove himself Or go back to the drawing board and accept the fact that, that this is about as good as he is going to get thats the level he can reach and I think this is the case with Angulo.

REMATCH. I tend to agree with you but we thought Kirkland was not the same after Ishida. Don't be so sure.

Angulo ****ed himself over by going for the kill in the 1st. Thats a rookie mistake and it cost him a future payday...

this was a make or break fight imo, I don't know if he will fully recover.

I dont think so because usually that happens when a fighter gets dominated and then beaten into submission ala hatton being outclassed by floyd (then killed by Manny) or cotto being torn down after throwing the kitchen sink into tonys face. This was a combinaton of Kirklands determination and Angulos carelessness. If this was just twelve rounds of Kirkland kicking the **** out of Angulo I would agree with you but like I said this fight is a combination win. Angulo was a zombie in round two which also makes me question his conditioning in training. Did he think that Kirkland would be an easy win and half assed his training?
