    Demarco's a possibilty.

Frank Warren isn't putting him anyway near Brandon Rios. I know that much.

I think John Murray could be a possibility. Maybe even Kevin Mitchell, the winner being the man he takes forward to a World Title.

I think Frank wants Burns to be more successful than Mitchell considering he's much more disciplined and in less trouble than Mitchell.

The problem is; Burns isn't that good.

      No chance.

Rios puts a beating on Burns.

What makes you think Kevin Mitchell wouldn't last with Ricky Burns? Ricky Burns is not exactly a concussive puncher.

Something about Mitchell's power that I don't like. He got tagged a lot by Murray and even if he did win it, it was a lot closer than it should have been with many dangerous times for Mitchell. Mitchell couldn't take a concussive puncher like Katsidis (let's not go over the fact that he was out of it before the fight started) but Burns won against Katsidis by a few rounds on my card and he didn't really look troubled at all. He took the power really well and looks massive that I can't even begin to understand why he was at Super Featherweight for so long. If Burns and Mitchell ever thought, it would be Burns being on the offense with Mitchell trying to outbox the former on the backfoot but I think Burns is a better boxer. Burns is a legitimate World Champion.

            Mitchell can punch, though.

Burns on the other hand is really not a hard puncher at all. Certinaly not as hard as Kevin Mitchell.

He got tagged alot against John Murray but let's not forget the lay-off, KO Loss, and alcoholism he was coming off.

I mean, it's inevitable he was going to be a tad rusty against Murray. Hell, Kevin Mitchelll was the clear underdog in the fight. He wasn't even expected to win.

What does that really mean though? Triangle theories mean very little.

And the Katsidis of 2 years ago is not the same to the one we have today. Not that I'm discrediting the win for Ricky. But it's not the same guy, despite still being a legit solid win for him, IMO.

I think Ricky Burns being a better boxer than Kevin Mitchell is very arguable aswell.

Frank Warren is a guy who shields fighters. Unlikely to be a big fight.

Ricky Burns is an extremely hard worker in the gym. The man is a beast in training from what I have seen and read, and he could really do well VS the top guys.
