how do YOU define a weak chin?

reading the boards and seeing different interviews from trainers and other fighters, it seems everyone has a different opinion on if someone has a good chin or not.

just watched an alex ariza interview saying that mayweather has a weak chin and could never take a punch. yet mayweather has never been knocked down by another fighter. yes hes been hit and may have gotten rocked a FEW times, but that comes with the sport.

to me, a weak chin is if you constantly get dropped or knocked out. example marquez, trinidad, corrales. how do you define a weak chin?

Marquez and Chico are bad chins, wouldn't say Tito's was bad
he just had bad balance and got dropped early before warming up
bad chins are guys who get hurt easily, simple as that
a guy don't have to be a big puncher to hurt a glass jawed fighter

............trinidad and marquez don't have weak chins.

Getting dropped a lot doesn't mean you have a weak chin.

        Khan has a weak chin

A guy that gets wobbled with every punch and has multiple KO losses.

All the guys you mentioned don't have weak chins. Yes, they tend to get put down often, but as the fight progresses their punch resistance seems to get better.

Khan has a weak chin. And what I mean by that is, like against Prescott, Prescott didn't use skill just clubbing shots and that was enought to get him down and out.

It's weird in his case. He survives a hard puncher such as Joel Julio but gets KOed in 1 by a feather-fisted guy with only 8 previous KOs.
