A weak chin is one that when hit shakes the boxer frequently.

A strong chin is one that is good at taking punches and sustaining them, one which requires a really strong or well timed shot to affect it.

    IMO of course.

to me, a weak chin is if you constantly get dropped or knocked out. example marquez, trinidad, corrales. how do you define a weak chin?
Corrales didn't have a bad chin,

Corrales was weight drained at 130, at 135 he took a total beating from castillo before finally dropping. And Castillo is anything but feather fisted.

As for Juan Manuel Marquez, I wouldn't call it a bad chin because he's only gotten dropped by some incredibly hellacious shots recently by guys that are bigger than he should be yet he shakes them off like nothing. Rafael Marquez on the other hand did have a weak chin he would get hurt often but did he have rocks in those hands or what lol.

Trinidad definitely had a relatively weak chin though. He would not only be dropped often but he would get hurt often.

Cotto at 140 had was glass chinned baaad. How he survived only tells you of his tenacity. He got hurt so often at before he jumped to 147 it seemed like any day now he was going to get knocked out.

A weak chin imo is when a fighter gets hurt by good shots but some of which could be called questionable if other fighters would have gotten on ***** street as easily.
