    Sergio Martinez can earn millions of dollars by fighting either Pacman or Floydie;
    He should think and decide which one that can adjust his weight normally, in this case, it should be Floydie, that is, if Floydie wants it.
    Floydie vs Sergio at catchweight 150lbs.

        When did Manny back track, and why is Sergio making stuff up?

        After both Roach and Manny stated they would face him at 150, there hasn't been a statement saying that they want 147 instead.

        Manny said 147 several weeks ago, and just recently stated he would do 150lbs and hasn't spoke on it sense. Why? well because he has a fight coming up with JMM in a week so it's a bit unrealistic to expect him to continue to discuss a potential bout given the fact that Marquez has went life and death with him on 2 separate occasions.

          Sergio Martinez was on the right track when he was fighting and beating Williams, Pavlik and the rematch with Paul, then Sergei. He had very good fights and was building his stock up but his managers/advisors/promoter made a big mistake by making Sergio Martinez seem like a desparate man. He was fighter of the year in 2010. There was no way he was supposed to be begging for a fight with Manny and Floyd. Dude should have kept fighting, putting on great performances and he would have kept getting his props and just due. I deal with alot of people in business and they swear they know how to make something happen but what they do is not hard at all. Basically all they do is find someone with a name buzz and ride their coat tails. Companies don't know how to build something up from the ground. Floyd and Pac had the opportunity to have these people around them. Sergio beat Pac out of FOTY on his own muscle not by fighting Pac or Floyd. I believe Sergio would fight anyone but his handlers are looking out for their best interest first. I say Sergio should have fought Pirog. Maybe not in Russia but fought him. If he would have fought and beat Pirog out in a domininate way, I'm sure he would have leveled up eventhough Pirog is not a big name. I like Sergio Martinez and think he is a very good fighter but what he is doing now is not what he should be doing.

            i'd love to see sergio in against pacman or floyd but at 150 or 151 the excuses are there as soon as the fights over. needs to be 154 for either fighter to get the most respect

              Pac doesn't have to meet his b*tch ass halfway cuz he doesn't have anything to offer. No title and no money = GTFOH

              As rude jude said "Stay ducking." with regards to the real 160 champ, Pirog.

                I'm a Manny fan and I don't think he is acting desperate at all. He is basically calling Manny's bluff. I personally like when fighters are proactive as far as getting fights, such as Shane getting in Floyd's face or Marquez going to the Philippines and calling out Manny.

                With that said, all Sergio has stated is that he is willing to compromise on his 155lb initial proposal and instead go to 150lbs. I really don't see how that is being desperate, and I like when fighters are willing to budge in order to make great fights. As much as I like Manny, he has been gettign things his way a little too much lately and I personally don't see why he can't fight Sergio at 152lbs (the actual fair weight for both) let alone 150lbs (something he has yet to backtrack on since stating this last week).

                When you look at the money, as well as the prestige (both Manny and Floyd will end up as top 25 ATG's IMO) when it comes to facing either, especially at Sergio's age (dude is 37), I don't see how anyone can knock Sergio for the moves he has made.

                  What I don't understand about Sergio Martinez is, why is he willing to take a high-risk low-reward fight, stake his title, against an unknown and undefeated fighter Darren Barker whom he had struggled for 11rounds before knocking him out, when he could easily get Dimtriy Pirog, who is also a title holder himself?

                  Pirog vs Martinez would sell! I bet Pirog has better name recognition than that Barker guy.

                  I say Sergio Martinez step up and put Dimitriy Pirog away! Rather than calling out fighters who are way much smaller than himself! Why don't he call out fighters his own size?!

                  After Martinez finishes Dimitriy Pirog, then it's high time that Julio Ceasar Chavez Jr. be thrown to the Lion's Den and fight the REAL CHAMP Sergio Gabriel Martinez!

                    Sergio is flat out refusing to fight the best guys out there and there is no way around that.

                      Manny is not fighting Martinez because Bob Arum has a stable of fighters that are risk free for him. Floyd, can't really say because he makes moves and decisions more on his own but at the end of the day. Sergio Martinez should be building up his name. There were and are lots of fighters who fought well and won over 37 and Martinez seems to be a fighter that would be one of them. Sergio Martinez mistake was saying that Manny Pacquiao was too small for him after the Paul Williams KO. Maybe Martinez don't seem desperate but his handlers sure do. He called Pac's bluff so now to move on. I remember when Shane was doing the same and I thought it was ridiculous. Eventhough he got the fights, it still made him look desperate. The reason why Floyd and Pac are in the position their in is because they built up their stock using their resources and name. I say Martinez should just do what he said he was going to do to Chavez Jr and fight another top fighter in JM or MW. He made himself a lil name and buzz from doing his own thing not because of Pac and Floyd. I can understand if he was calling them out before he had the run he had but now, he built the foundation and must continue to build on it.
