Don't think for one second that he wouldn't smack the taste out of Pirog's mouth. SMH at the idea of Martinez being afraid of Pirog, he moved up in weight to challenge the most feared man in boxing against Williams on 2 weeks notice and then fought a giant who out weighed him 11 pounds on fight night and had a 5 inch height advantage in Pavlik......but he is afraid of a guy with one decent win over an overhyped prospect...ok

Williams was the most feared man in boxing??? Maybe most feared guy for guys 5'6" to 5'9" but not any WW or Jr MW 5'10" and above but it was a great marketing tool... Not to mention he couldn't sell tickets... Martinez was the bigger fighter so much so that Williams asked for a catch weight in the rematch and after the rematch Williams went back to 154 while Martinez stayed at MW... Martinez should clean out his division Pirog or look for the Super Six guys... It just make you look like a chump when the ONLY fights you are looking for or guys at 154 or below, He should at least include one MW or Super Six guy on his list. BTW he wants to fight Chavez and not Pirog because of resume well sorry to inform Sergio but Pirog's resume at MW is a LOT better than Chavez's....

That's 100% bull**** .He has tried fighting Sturm (ducked), Gaele (ducked), Zibik (hbo rejected), Macklin (probably next), Chavez (ducked). That 5 out of the top 6 middleweights according to ring magazine. The #4 guy barely got in the list a month ago. Pirog is #7, and you know the story. He beat Paul Williams already who's currently #8. There's Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam at#9 , but there's no reason for anyone to expect Martinez to fight this guy. Then there's Rubio #10 , who Martinez said he'd be willing to fight for the vacant WBC belt.

With international refs how could he be??
Did you pull that figure out your ass?

Williams was labeled by HBO and many posters on here as the most avoided boxer in the sport. Williams asked for the catchweight in the rematch because he was planning to campaign at 147 again (at least that's what his camp said at the time). Martinez is planning to move back down to 154 again in his next fight even if he doesn't land a Pac or May bout. He wants to fight Chavez to get is WBC belt back....he thinks that Chavez will vacate anyways. Martinez is a career lmw boxer and started out at 147 lbs, it's not like he is a big guy. He had to add a lot of muscle just to be able to make 160, he would be a midget fighting those guys. I'd love to see Martinez and Pirog fight...make it happen.

The only reason he's in a 'bad spot' is because he has idiots managing and promoting him. He's fighting Macklin on St. Patty's day in MSG most likely. Just using names like Pacquiao, Mayweather, Chavez, Margarito, etc to keep his name in headlines.

Everyday he's 'negotiating' with someone new. 2 weeks ago he was 'negotiating' with both Manny and Floyd simultaneously. His manager said that both Manny and Floyd would do 2 million PPV buys and make more $ against Sergio than they would against each other, said this about each guy in 2 seperate interviews.

Just attention grabbing while getting ready for Macklin.
actually he was NEVER in negotiations with pac. it was said he was in talks with floyd. prince is changing facts again.

If people don't accept that Pac is a phony at JMW then it doesn't explain why its ok for Pac to fight Martinez at 147 while its a crime for Floyd to fight Martinez anything less than 154. Unless they admit to being biased. lol

It's ok people, everyone knows Pac is a phony. Hell he didn't even earn his ONE title at WW without a CW.... Pac was The Garbage Man at WW, taking out the left over garbage. Some of that stinky old **** was Floyd's left over garbage.

"WHEN" Pac stepped in the ring, he was paid to take out the left over stinky garbage.

I threw my printer out the other day, at one point it was a fast printer that actually printed amazing pictures.... It got old and it busted, I had a great time going "OFFICE SPACE" on it... it was exciting. I felt like Pac beating that old POS printer up before throwing it away.
wess, any real fan of boxing knows that pacs title at JMW is fake. he nor tony EVER fought once at JMW. so how can he earn the JMW title? any one who brags about pacs JMW title is deluded. period.

Thanks for proving my point NONE of those guys are worthy of a fight and they are not who the public and networks would want to see Martinez fight. Jermaine Taylor name at MW is still more valuble than ALL those guys... BTW rankings mean nothing because boxing is so curupt. Peter McNeely was some how the #7 Heavyweight in the world when he fought Tyson. Margarito and my man Pac fought for a TITLE at 154 and you want to use rankings by the boxing organizations???? The public wants Pirog above all those guys, hell even Jacobs. He can defenitely get ANY super six guy to fight and the networks would buy it and hell since he likes smaller guys 154 and below I'm sure Kirkland would fight him. But a 5'9" 154 guy is not small enough for him he wants the 5'6 1/2" WW who weighs inn at 145.... LOL ALL those guys you named has NO CHANCE to beat him and thats why he wants those fights... Any guy his size or bigger he doesn't want to fight. He wants these little guys to fight him the bigger guy not to mention Mayweather and Pac came from 130 and below. But yet he is not willing to do the same that he is asking them to do and look for a bigger guy at 168 or Pirog at 160... I like Martinez but the truth is the truth if he want these small guys to look for fights with bigger guys (Him) he should be willing to do the same (super six guys and Pirog)
