  • Knowing that, you can still feel free to write this on your calendar in pen, not pencil: Assuming Pacquiao defeats Marquez on Nov. 12, he’ll face Timothy Ray Bradley Jr. on May 5, 2012, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

    • I think Team Mayweather has just called Bob Arum's bluff. Pacquiao will fight, but Bob won't let him until he's made some more money out of another pointless Pacquiao matchup.

Of course, Mayweather knew this and therefore knew that calling Pacquiao out now carried no risk.

What excuse do you believe was the reason the fight wont happen testing, manny's right hand, or floyd wanting too much money? Or do you think its the scared of needles thing?

          • I think there is alot of issues to be cleared first.

The venue is the least of their worries right now. I like that they are bringing it up though, atleast thats something, but that isnt something to be focused on.

arum is mad because, he never thought floyd would call him out like this. now he is going to have to answer why pac is not fighting floyd. floyd has been consistant in asking one thing. ost. and to all the pac fans that post testing is no problem, you read in the article, the fight fell apart due to ost. now arum and pac get called out. i cant wait to see their response. arum called floyd a chicken and now he is but hurt that floyd picked a venue and called him out. thats what he deserved. his friends at espn cant help him this time.

I dont understand his logic behind that, unless Mayweather is promoting Pacquiao-Bradley and NOT fighting on the card or Pacquiao-Bradley is on the undercard of a Mayweather fight

at the same time arum is calling floyds bluff as well. Ellerbe just needs to make the call, secretly record the conversation, and that will be the end of it.

                  • If we were allowed to post threads abou thte Mayweather/Pacquaio potential fight, I would post a thread that said, "Let the Excuses Begin."

Now that Mayweather's team has said he wants the fight and wants it in May of next year, Bob Arum, Pac's team and his fans will begin making excuses to justify Pac losing just as the haters did when Mayweather agreed to fight Hatton, Mosley and Ortiz. In the spirit of cooperation, let me help Arum, Pac's team and the Pac worshippers out with a few ready-made excuses.

                    Team Pac:
Manny won't take the drug tests at all because (fill in the ****** reason)
Manny won't take the drug tests unless he is allowed to pick the agency that does the drug tests
Manny will only fight at 144 pounds because that is his best weight and, after all, he started his career at 105.
Manny won't fight unless he is allowed to choose Mayweather's gloves, choose the ring size, choose the ref and the judges because of what happened to Ortiz.
Manny won't fight in Vegas because he doesn't trust the NSAC.
Manny can't fight in May because he needs more time to recover from the Marquez fight or he has congressional duties to take care of or he knocked up another ********** and he has to be there when the baby is born in May, etc....

Bob ArumWe don't trust the USADA, so we won't do the fight if they are involved.
Manny has to do all of his training in the Phillipines and the USADA can't come to the Phillipines (a lie).
Manny can't fight in Las Vegas because they are biased against Floyd.
Manny won't be ready to fight again in May.
I won't allow Manny to fight Floyd because, after Floyd beats his a$$ and knocks him out, Manny will retire and I will lose my cash cow (oops, this is the truth, not an excuse)

                    Pac worshippers
147 is too big for Manny. After all, he started his career at 105.
Manny has been in too many wars (Mosley, Margarito, Marquez) while Mayweather was on "vacation"/
Floyd waited until Manny got old (even though Mayweather is a year older).
Manny can't be effective because he was blood drained from the blood tests.
Manny won't be able to win because Floyd won't stand in the center of the ring and let Pac hit him; he will run.
Manny shouldn't let Floyd dictate the terms of the fight (even though Pac has dictated the terms of all of his fights since the Cotto fight)
                    Floyd cheated.
                    The ref cheated.
                    The judges cheated.
                    The NSAC cheated.
                    The USADA cheated.
And last but not least, when no other excuse is available, "Floyd ducked (fill in the blank)"

                    Good luck with those excuses!
