Arreola turned down that fight. He was offered to fight him in December in the US. Arreola is ducking him too. Interesting how they try to present Chris as some warrior yet neglect to mention that.

Since the Adamek loss he's had 5 fights and has another this weekend. Of those 6 boxers none were top 10 fighters and going by boxrec the highest ranked of them all is only ranked 84th in the world. 5 of the 6 were coming off of a loss.
Arreola's taking the Shannon Briggs' bum 'o the month club route to a heavyweight shot. If you're Arreola's manager/adviser then this makes sense. Take the low risk fights, make a little $$$ and then cash out with a title shot. Unfortunately, it's a detriment to the fighter because it doesn't prepare them for a high caliber opponent and it's not good for the fans. I'd like to see Arreola mixing it up with some of the top contenders instead of the one sided beatdowns of sub par competition...

they are doing nothing different then any other heavyweight. arreola lost his 2 biggest fights. he got a title shot & lost to adamek so he has to go back up the ranks & get his confidence back. usually they will fight 4-6 times vs C-C+ level competition & when they get back in an eliminator or title shot, they are on a role & there to win. i like the way they have rebuilt him. after sam peter lost to vitali & chambers they should have done the same thing with him.

Yeah but he's gonna be going from C level comp to fighting A+ competition (Wladimir). That doesn't make a helluva lot of sense to me. The Rafael Butler's of the boxing world aren't gonna prepare you to fight the best hw of world...

Yeah, it was terrible that Peter fought Helenius. Two top 20 heavyweights fighting each other without a title on the line was so shocking to see that many spectators suffered heart attacks.

Arreola gave it a good effort, Vitali is just a damn great fighter.
It was an entertaining beatdown, great performance by Vitali.
