Marquez arguably beat Pac twice and he's not a legit opponent ?

Even it if were held at 140, both fighters would weigh the same come fight night. Pac comes into the ring the same weight now than he did when he was fighting at 130 and 135.

Since it's not an issue, why did the rematch take so long?

Maybe because Pac took fights with:

        Cotto
        Margarito
        Clottey
        Oscar
        SSM
        Hatton

Why not the guy that gave him so much hell, and arguably beat him twice? You know, BEFORE he moved up. Since, after all, weight isn't an issue (the fact that Pacquiao fan argues this, is hilarious, btw).

neither are natural welters anyway, and stylistically, Marquez is still a threat no matter the weight class

Marquez-Pacman III is more legit than Morales-Pac II when Morales was coming off a one-sided beating at the hands of Raheem.

If Manny's not a welterweight, then why on earth would he insist on fighting Marquez at welterweight?

that's not a good measuring stock

Pacquiao and Mayweather = night and day

because he doesn't want to make the little sacrifices needed to make 140 lbs ?

or because he wants to be heavier than JMM ? isn't the fight happening at 144 ?

To me the best reason to doubt the fight isn't weight because I don't think either guy is really bigger than the other, they are of similar size and there is no range issue.

Age and tread on the tire are the issues to be concerned about regarding JMM as compared to Manny relatively. JMM has been keeping the wagon going but all the way back to the Casamayor fight he was looking a bit worn, now he has taken care of business but has suffered quite a few beatings since that fight and Manny has looked just fine. The real question is where are both men at and does JMM still have it in him to really do what he did previously.

I personally hope JMM has one great fight left in him, but the wheels could fall off the wagon at any time and Manny is the sort of fighter that tends to make wheels fall off~
