Is he? The guy has 20 some professional fights, is undefeated, is the number 1 guy at 140lbs and fighting on the undercard of this ppv will be the biggest stage he has ever fought on. He made a career choice, in one swift decision he is gonna get more recognition for this venue than he has in 3 or 4 title fights in the past.

Bradley is better than Khan is boxing wise and would dominate him in the ring if they fought first off. Secondly, Top Rank knows how to properly promote fighters unlike some other promoters out there. If the fight is to be made now, while Tim is under Top Rank, the attention for the fight would be huge...........would be GREAT for the sport of boxing.

He has the opportunity to become a PPV attraction and be the successor to Pac as the top guy at Top Rank, possibly get a shot at Pac or Floyd. Khan made the move to GBP from Warren because it was a better move for him career-wise, same thing with Bradley.

You are a foolish boy. Calling a 2 division champion a coward. How could he have been more clear. When he called Khan out he was not having the problems with Shaw which later developed.

When he had the problems, which were unsolvable, his contract date was just about due. He still owed Shaw a fight, but he wanted to get away from Shaw and keep the Khan fight for a Top Rank promotion which would pay him 2-3 times what a Shaw deal would, and he would have the satisfaction of knowing that Shaw wasn't making anything from it. Instead, all Shaw can claim is his share of the next fight, which is against Casamayor from which he will not get much. And from then on, he will be on big TV cards. Whether he ever fights Khan is not important to him, what is, is that he will be properly promoted and in the position to make bigh purses.

That was a very smart, good , easy decision to make. Why you don't understand this is also easy to know, considering the average IQ of the majority of posters here. Fortunately there are some who not only know boxing, but can discuss without obscenities and foulness. (I don't mean you)

You make an excellent point friend however, it’s really only half the story here.

Bradley’s problem with Shaw wasn’t unresolvable. Not interested in who called who out and when but the underlying fact is he could have taken the fight, become undisputed and signed with whoever he wanted for bigger purses in the immediate future.

He, quite rightly it could be argued, chose not to do this. He made a great business decision but a very poor boxing one.

And herein lays my issue with what you’re saying. I don’t think it’s particularly fair to generalise about other’s IQ when Bradley’s getting criticized for robbing us of a good fight. At the end of the day, that’s what we’re all here to see. Fights, not “The amazing adventures of Timmy bloody Bradley’s Business deals”

We’re not here to do economics’/finance degree’s. We’re here to watch fights.

Tim Bradley, quite righty I would argue, is taking flak not because people don’t understand “how smart” this move was but because they understand perfectly well the stunt he just pulled is everything that is wrong with boxing today.

I’m not saying that it’s Bradley’s responsibility to sort the whole thing out by himself. We could probably all agree that the networks with their financial clout are best positioned to attack the situation head on however, what I am saying is Bradley and his supporters really shouldn’t be surprised for getting backlash from fight fans who didn’t get a fight.

What do you mean ? Stringing out the fights the fans want for as long as possible to line their own pockets until their guy loses and there isn't any interest left i.e. (Gamboa Lopez)? Unlike GBP who have more faith in their champs , contenders and even prospects and test them?

When was the last big Top Rank GBP co promotion? You know as well as anyone that as soon as Bradley signed up with Top Rank the chances of this fight happening plummeted.

Bradley fans ... bless 'em . Bradley is in NO way being touted as the next ppv superstar . Excellent fighter but he has little marketability . I highly doubt Arum will be thinking long term with him . He'll get a couple Pac undercards and then be fed to him.
